I've not been using any of the legendary weapons I've found.
Modded 10mm, a combat shotgun, and a scoped hunting rifle are doing it for me at the moment.
I think I may have played a bit too much over the weekend though.
I got into work today, saw the first aid kit, and wondered to myself "Are there any stimpaks in there"
Also, how many miniguns have been modded and renamed "ol' painless"....

Loving it. This is an amazingly fun game, using a well modded pipe rifle at the moment, I keep hearing good things about the hunting rifle so that's next on my "to nick" list.
I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...
I love my hunting rifle, mostly stock so far, but I'm planning a few mods for it.
Lightweight barrel and a larger magazine.
Silencer too if I can.
Reach out and touch someone.

You can mod legendary weapons. I have a fully modded hunting rifle that can frenzy targets.

I had a look at the requirements, and they seem pretty high for what it gives you.
It's badly optimized. A lot of people get random FPS drops and low FPS despite having a high-end machine.
I've not tried to mod anything legendary yet.
I might have a look at Kellog's magnum tonight. See if anything can be done with it.
Need to try out the cryolator too.
I've not used it yet. Need to see if I can freeze people then shoot them.
Hopefully they'll shatter.

Turning off Godrays should help.
The game's so bad on my end that it doesn't even run on a system with played Skyrim on high settings. However I think the fault may be driver related (need to buy a new PC anyways).
Well some of the quest is like running into a brick wall. Getting something from a Super Mutant camp... with 3 legendary guys in there. Not enough bullets for that...
Poor ignorant guardsmen, it be but one of many of the great miracles of the Emperor! The Emperor is magic, like Harry Potter, but more magic! A most real and true SPACE WIZARD! And for the last time... I'm not a space plumber.
I need to create an assassin 10mm with high damage and a suppressor for sneaky kills too.
I'm liking reflex sights so far.

picked it up last night, very skyrimish in a good way. I think I screwed something up though, I picked up lots of armor from baddies I killed and started scrapping things and now I have a chest piece, 1 of each arm and leg on, but I'm running around naked with just a few leather straps hanging here and there. How do I get armor that covers everything? People keep telling me I'm wearing no pants.

There are two types of armours plus power armour and clothing.
Firstly there are full body armours (the first set you get will probably be Cage armour) that is a complete armour set, just like FO3. There there are composite armours (leather, metal, combat, synth etc) that have separate pieces for each limb, chest and head but which need a set of clothing underneath if you don't want to run around in your pants. Why do you think all those Raiders were wearing long johns?

I've found lots of different kinds of clothing like a suit or tshirt and jeans, but when I put those on it unequips my armor :( guess I'll have to steal someone's long johns

The Vaultsuits and army fatigues work.
Not only that, you can further upgrade the Vault suit to up the defenses. It's the only cloth I found so far that allowed me to do that.

So, has anybody cheated yet? I confess, I've used the console command to give myself money. Yes, I could make the money legitimately by hauling all the crap guns I find back to the merchants (I already have more than enough steel, wood, and screws for my crafting needs), selling it, waiting for their money to restock, selling again, etc. Instead, I just leave most of it in storage now and use the console command to give myself money. I like to think that, at this point, I must be the biggest dealer in pipe-based firearms in the Commonwealth, and this just represents my sales. That, and I use it to buy ammo. New Vegas spoiled me with the ability to make my own ammo and even recover spent casings to make ammo from, so I do it to simulate that until a mod comes along to do it. If I can craft a high end capacitor for a laser rifle, why the hell can't I make a simple bullet? Don't get me wrong, I'm not throwing tens of thousands of caps my way, but just enough to restock ammo when I need it.

No, no cheating yet nor do I think I will. Right now I've achieved Rank 2 Gun Nut and now I'm desperate to find more screws so I can create all the mods I'm missing for my 10mm, hunting rifle and sawed-off but I refuse to console create them
Btw, found this easter egg today! If you played Fallout 3, you might remember a certain "Gary"

I have now logged in four hours (to my good lady's twenty-four...).
Overall... I like it, but prefer Fallout 3. (Mostly because it seems to take a lot more shots to take down victims the enemy than it did before - I was getting good with head shots in Fallout 3.)
My good lady likes Fallout 4 better than she does 3. (She is also skipping the plot entirely, and is instead rampaging across the Commonwealth.)
I hate to say it, but the enemies in Fallout 3 seemed to have a better AI - if a Raider had a 10mm pistol, and there was a rocket launcher within running distance, he'd run and get the launcher.
I like that VATS now slows time rather than stops it.
But Megan's look of joy when I went into Hubris Comics gave me fair warning about what was inside, waiting for me....
I just rescued Mr. Valentine, I think that I am going to end up being a part of his agency, after we

And I have barely dabbled my toes in settlement building.

Nope, the gunplay just happens to be really good. I'd say the plot and dialogue is better then FNV.
Agreed - and, unlike FNV, there are factions that I actually support... and two of them do not get along, at all. (I am hoping that I can get them to talk - they could *mumble, mumble* so much better against the *mumble* if they worked together!)
But the *mumble* are such *mumble, mumble*, convinced that theirs is the only right way... my hopes of that are not too high. Which means that I am mostly backing the *mumble* and the *mumble*.
The Auld Grump - I am talking about the heroic factions here, not the *mumble*.

The reason I bought rules and became a real wargamer was because I wanted a properly thought out structure to govern the action instead of just making things up as I went along.

Raider Harnesses. Oddly, some of the basic outfits worn as default by Settlers (shirts etc) can be used with armour.

I used the console to give myself a second Vault 81 disease antidote and cure myself of the mole rat disease. I gave it all to the kid. I had no idea I'd even been infected until after I completed the quest. That was it though.
