Apparently the scavenging station adds random items of scrap to touchstones every so often. I'm now making plans for a sweatshop stuffed full with settlers slaving away for me.

Waltzed into Boston Commons, spotted a pair of Super Mutants. I thought "this'll be an easy fight, my combat rifle is pretty beefed up at DAM 49".

I pick them off easily and walk over to loot them. Suddenly I'm ambushed by 6 more mutants scattered across the street and rooftops. And with perfect timing, "I'm a wanderer" comes onto the radio.

GAK JUST GOT REAL.

Felt like I was replaying the live action trailer.

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

Enemies do run to pick up guns.

Also, I dislike the status screen on the pipboy. The one in 3 was a lot better.

So far that is pretty much the only negative I have.

No, no cheating yet nor do I think I will. Right now I've achieved Rank 2 Gun Nut and now I'm desperate to find more screws so I can create all the mods I'm missing for my 10mm, hunting rifle and sawed-off but I refuse to console create them

There's a perk that will give you extra stuff when breaking down weapons; once you get that, screws will never be a problem again.
I'm at the point now where I don't even pick up basic versions of weapons and armor from bodies anymore, but just the modified ones as they break down into more components. That's mainly what I used the money cheat for, to save myself the time of picking up and selling everything. I'd rather play the game rather than play Wasteland Merchant.

Visited the Gwinnett Brewery. Found 2 Teddy Bears doing naughty things I blame the alcohol.

Spoiler:

This one was in the same area, but he was just having breaksfast

Spoiler:

This is yet another thing I love about Bethesda's games. I just love finding these little easter eggs or "stories" you piece together by reading journals or looking at bodies as I'm literally searching everywhere.

(P.S: For those who don't know, Bethesday and Obsidian did lots of little scenes with Teddy Bears in FO3 and New Vegas too )

So, if I store items like steel in my workbench, will it always be available for crafting or do I have to have it in my inventory like in Skyrim? And.. if I have junk on me, will it use that for crafting or will I have to drop it on the ground and the scrap it first?

I learnt this the hard-way yesterday: It will be available for that Settlement only. If you want to build stuff in another settlement, you'll have to take the materials with you. But, in that settlement, you can use it when you crafting so you don't need to carry the crap around with you.

In fact, when you create a mod it will show you what itens will be destroyed and what piece it will use to build the mod.

I just got a combat shotgun that fires two shells per pull of the trigger. It now does 260 damage per shot.

Also, for anyone who enjoys carnage. Grab a missile launcher with some ammo and run through any town with lots of ghouls.

Then turn around and fire once.

I haven't played the game, but I think you can link together settlement crafting stations by having villagers open transport routes. You can link multiple stations together this way, but you need a villager to be a go between for each additional crafting station added.

You need Local hero level 2 to be able to do that (or build shops, its one or the other). Trade routes share food, water and resources so once you have them set up building settlements takes very little time. Also you don't need to scrap all the gak you drag around, it is done automatically if you need screws or whatever.

Do we have to pick just one of the factions for the main quest? The Commonwealth Minutemen page on the wiki seems to suggest that.

I was hoping to do Railroad, Minutemen and Brotherhood of Steel all in one play through.

I read that the power armor suits that you can find "in the wild" are level dependant. I got my T51 set at a national guard armory while on the mission to find a list BoS recon team for Danse.

I believe that. Started a new character and just found a wild T45 in a WAY overleveled place for what I was at. Level 7 fighting an Assaultotron and Sentry Bot... Not an easy fight with a pipe rifle... That would have netted my original character a T51b at the very least.

And with a new character I found a new feature. Saves are organized by character, not just by most recent. So as long as the names are unique, it's the easiest thing to do to find the last one from whichever character you want. Such a simple thing but so helpful.

In other news: found a teddy bear pooping. In glasses with newspaper in hand on the toilet. I'd give a screenshot but console.

Except they all had Missile Launchers... No one likes Missile Launcher spam.

Anyone been inside of the Museum of Witchery? Prepare to poop a little if you got low amounts of ammo/mines... or are low leveled. Got out safe thanks to gakloads of mines and a flamer. That enemy is a nightmare in such a confined space.

I'm fairly tooled up now, I might go have a look at the museum of witchcraft.
Fully upgraded 10mm and Combat Shotgun.
That should do the trick.
with a fatman in reserve for when you really need to bring the pain.

If the thought of something makes me giggle for longer than 15 seconds, I am to assume that I am not allowed to do it.

Well... I won't recomend going in with a 10mm pistol and a shotgun. And a fatman inside of that space is suicide. But be prepared for a suprise anyway. Or hope your stealth is really good. I sat there stuck in a corner while it kept standing there... waiting... In the meantime it was setting up it's dinner table I guess.

Level 36 and I am still scared to go back there. I might manage it if I wear my best armor. Just picked up the Spray and Pray. Now I see why people like it. Not as good as the shotgun version of that upgrade, but I have a surplus of .45 and not a lot of 12 Gauge.

I did it at about lvl 18 with my last 100 rounds of minigun ammo and the only other functioning gun I had which was Kellogs revolver. Stim pack spam saw me through though, as did the attack animation that seems to do hardly any damage but takes ages.

If you really want to kill it... take a bunch of mines. Took ot half it's health with 2 bottlecap mines. You can pick up the bottlecaps later as a bonus.

I found a T51 in the exact same place (behind a master lock, through a terminal?), so I think it might not be level dependent. Did you get attacked by a sentry bot when you left the building?

Drum mag combat shotgun (150rnds)

Modded .45 sub machine gun. (300rnds)

Kellog's revolver (75rnds)

Plus lots of pipe weapon ammo, I can always pick one up if I need one.
