Why does everyone keep saying there are going to be new Crisis Suits? Has there been a leaked photo that hasn't been linked here? All I see in the photos so far are the same Crisis Suit conversions (mostly at the waist) that were featured in the Farsight Enclaves book. Those models aren't anything new. They're just the old suits, cut at the waist and repositioned slightly.

I hope so i like pinning. Plus alot of the sides, eg the imperium bolter, do the whole basic weapon scaling thing would be cool to see some bigger pulse weapons.

Looking at the weapons load out again it seems the missile-tide has twinlink frag cannon on the left missile pod but not on the right? plus it looks to interfere with the legs hence the side ways stance, i hope not i hate when the models moving parts unduly touch the floor or would knock into each other...

I think the Catapult looks very different ( my first purchase in MWO and still love it) - IMO much more stylish and not weapons strapped together and bolted on ad nauseum

Whoever did that art needs to improve their skills at perspective and size. That missile is ridiculously bigger than what it should be at that distance and angle from the launcher.

Here's them next to each other. I think they're new (the shoulder pads are different I think, and the colours are different enough that I think these ones are painted at a different time so they could've been done recently) but I dunno for sure. I really hope they are.

If you look closely at the background/sides of a couple of the newly leaked photos showing the new big suits/firewarriors, there are crisis suits with posable waists there. They do not appear to be the same as the ones in the Farsight Codex (they are painted entirely differently for one), so the thinking is that they are new suits.

If they are new i REALLY like those new crisis.

they look better proportions now.

I think everything from the waist up hasn't changed, but the crotch plate looks different, and the hips where the legs connect looks different. The crotch plate looks more like a smaller version of one that is on the Broadside or Riptide, and it looks like possible the legs have been broken up into an upper leg piece and a lower leg piece.

Or it's just a really good cut/paste conversion job.

The shoulder looks different too, got a big shoulder pad on the new ones.

For godsakes XV8 kit can no longer be reordered. They're new.

Maybe those are the conversions if that's the case then we possibly don't have photos of the new crisis suits, but to me it seems 95% likely those are the new suits.

My suspicion is new box + extra sprue + more expensive.

I was actually never a huge fan of the old crisis suit. I mean, it wasn't terrible; I just didn't love the proportions.

If they are a conversion they aren't a conversion from that Crisis commander, but the regular crisis suits. That Commander looks different to the crisis suits anyway.

The Stormsurge is growing on me... I wonder if it'll come in an entirely new kit or they'll release it in a newer riptide kit? If the latter is the case I'd be happy to model those pods on the shoulders and let it carry that railgun like the Broadsides do.

On the topic of conversions... I have a spare riptide leg lying around at home (no idea where from mind) but I'd have to give the Stormsurge a tripod if those legs are posable. just to make it look like it's not as top-heavy.

The Stormsurge isn't a Riptide variant, it's bigger. So it'll be its own box.

For the crisis suits? You wouldn't be able to make those models just by adding an extra sprue to the current ones. The current ones have fixed waists, these ones are posable. Can't do that with an extra sprue, that's a whole new kit. And if you meant the new big suit, it's not a riptide variant so again that's a new kit, not just a new sprue.

The crisis suit pic you've got isn't new and is a conversion. You can tell by the ML/burst cannon mashup. It's from the Farsight codex.

Because they're just background scenery. Not everything in a pic of a new kit needs to be new, especially if its not the focus of the pic.

@rainyday: they are the current kit bug the angle of photo makes them look different. I did a comparison and they are the exact model...we just typically look at it from the top. I thought the same thing you did until I looked at mine from a bottom up perspective

Sorry to ask but, but do we know about codex dates?

They are friggen new man! Stores all over the world are being told yea we can't order new XV8 just like FW, Riptides, and Crisis Commanders.

Geez.

You can see the new ones have a larger shoulder plate, their jetpacks are different, and they can turn at the waste now not a fixed position.

I don't know if we've seen a pic of the new commander though.

Okay, I have been SPERGLORDING all night, totally ruined my sleep but still, totally worth it. I am going to do a quick review of everything I see here.

first, BOLS and natfka must be laughing themselves sick, because it looks like their claims were pretty close to 100% accurate despite the later rumors that we will get one suit, a commander and nothing else.

The Ghost: Wow, finally the XV-9 Series breaks into the main dex. If we can have different head options, I will take one right away. The weapons load out looks amazing and the size of the mini just looks amazing. I hope I can take bodyguards in those suits.

The Stormsurge: I so sperglord'd. Goddamn it looks so good, It looks like an Earth Caste engineering team got drunk and high with a Cadre Fireblade in a Riptide assembly plant. They woke up in the morning with a headache and a Stormsurge. It is literally "Missiles on top of missiles with more missiles" combined with "The biggest experimental gun we can find."

Frankly, I love it.

The New Firewarriors: Holy gak, i love them. I want to know more.


The new Crisis suits: I love them too, I want to know more!!!

Did any of you also notice there are two shoulder gun options for the Storm Surge?

Also... The only thing that makes me sad is that this new aesthetic may conflict with the KX-139.
