Has anyone heard anything about this book? I've been a closet fanboy of Macharius since reading my friend's 2nd ed IG book. I haven't read any of William King's work so I was wondering what to expect.

I already know that it is a novel which exists and describes Solar Macharius' Macharius Crusade. I want to know if it's any good.

Don't worry, there's always someone who wants to prove themselves wise and clever by making comments about someone's (often reasonable) question. They could be polite and helpful, but frequently choose otherwise.

In answer to the OP's query, haven't heard much about the tome at all. You may just have to knuckle down and read it. If you do, feel free to share your opinion here. I've also been interested in Macharius, and particularly in the parallels to Alexander the Great.
