Well worth the wait to see him finished. Outstanding paint job and a great bit of fiction too!

Thank you, everybody! Really appreciate all the compliments. And Fifty, wow, thank you. I don't know about being the best of anything else, but they are the best I have done so far, for sure. It is weird not having this guy to work on anymore. Good thing I have around some silly number of other projects started or just waiting to start. Thanks, again! Pic for the page rollover.

great work and a great story. Very Legion of the Damned, coming in to save the day. Awesome work as ever, the flames, barrels and chevrons come together in perfect harmony! Well worth the effort!

Thank you, guys!

zahnib, for the trim, it is old Boltgun mixed with a little black, then stipple edges and a few other spots with a brighter silver, then hit rivets, grills, details with Nuln Oil, then stipple other areas with Chestnut ink and sponge on some wear with black. For the structure, metal areas are first primed black, then drybrushed sloppily with P3 Molten bronze, then stippled sloppily with a craft store bronze that is a lighter shade. After that it is drybrushed with Army Painter Plate Mail Metal. Then you hit recessed areas or areas you want some grime build-up with Agrax or Nuln Oil, feel free to get streaky or sloppy here, as well. Next there is a patchy stipple with Citadel Chestnut ink for the rust spots. Finally sponge dings with Vallejo German Grey. It's pretty loose. You just keep throwing stuff at it until you are satisfied that it is dirty enough.

That Knight is the definition of awesome. Great idea, project and follow through with him.

Now make him inAdeptus Titanicus scale .

Wow! It was so worth the wait. And definitely worth the effort.
All the flames and the weathering work well together.

Top notch!

Finishing a big project feels rewarding and maybe even relieving, but at the same time you might start missing working on it. It's a weird combination.

Next up, three more of them?

Love the paint job on the "Torment Unceasing" from a technical perspective. I want to love the whole thing but... something about knights just seems to put me off. Seriously, all the components of the paint job are excellent, everything about the paint job works together, I just wish it were a different figure. Like a War-hound or Gundam.

That said, the fluff? Oh god YES! It's perfect. I need to go murder my desire to do a Legion of the Damned force again (now with a full spread of Imperial forces) but totally worth it!

Just too, too good. I am still amazed by how good the double Reaper looks and also your patience with the flames. The fact that they are on every armour plate, including around the two heavy stubbers is doubly impressive.

What's up next?

Thank you very much, everybody. I appreciate all the love he's getting.

Ezki, Theo, I don't see any more Knights of any scale in the near future. Two seems like a nice number.

ListenToMeWarriors, Prime is done and awaiting company for varnish and basing, but there's this stuff happening:

Plus the Dread, and possibly some Dreadball, Blood Bowl, or Kingdom Death.

Thanks you all again and thanks for looking!

Oooh more Eldar in the que, can't wait to see what you have in mind for them. Love that face on the purple axe dude, your ability to pick out those small details make me a bit envious.

Very mixed new minis coming from you, loving it. The little guy is the love-child of Teela and Skeletor?

Thank you, guys.

Syro, that's Belial from Shadows of Brimstone. A boss monster, pretty much. The wings aren't original, but are similar to the stock ones. I didn't put them on. My friend accidentally bought two, so I picked up the pre-assembled one off him. I think the wings are Bloodthirster wings, but they have been modified.

Loving the murderous mushroom man!

And I’m reasonably sure it’s not just my weakness for anthropomorphic plants and fungi talking.

You're welcome, Syro.

ChaoticMind, I hope you got in on the Fightin' Fungi KS, then.

MegaDave, me too! They are another unit long overdue for painting, and my favorite Aspect.

Appreciate the comments, guys. Couple quick WiP shots. Armor for Belial, still have to do a little shading and add patina. Progress on Mr. 100 Stores. About time. Two years of loafing on this one. For shame.

Mushroom Reaper also progressing. Most likely the next finished. Then it is wrap-up time for him and Prime.

I love what you've done with this model. I've looked back and can't find any posts about your building of it. Have I missed one? If not, any work-in-progress picures?

Thanks, all. A fellow of infinite jest...

Argive, you mean on the Knight? There is a lip built up out of the basing material for the craters, then it is painted over.

Fifty, you would have to go back pretty far, just about two years. A primer mishap left me not working on him for a long time. Here's the WiP again:

Thanks again, everyone!

Ah, thanks! All round excellent build, and same for the painting so far!

Also proof to all those who complain that you can't kitbash any more that whilst it might be slightly harder, the results are better!
