Let's ease up a wee bit about the quotes of members saying they're leaving. Something like "blame the victim" is a classic moment of dakka that has moved beyond the actual situation that it began in. Something like a regular user, no matter how polarising a figure he may have been, taking his leave of a forum in a non-all-caps-forever-remembered-forever fashion is something that you shouldn't be mocking. It's rude, even if the user has left.
