As soon as I finish a model I immediately start to hate it, so it's hard to choose

Probably either this 15mm scale Panzer IV...

Or this Zael...

I’d have to do a lot of soul-searching to figure out a specific answer. A lot of my older stuff is tinted by nostalgia. Or sculpts that I quite enjoy, even if the paint work is just so-so.

But I think my favorite at the moment is the latest thing to come off the bench: My new foot captain with the Teeth of Terra.

I absolutely love this thread, even if it makes me feel super self conscious about my own painting skills.

I'll pluck you like a flower.

Lots of great stuff in here. If there is a game, however, Winterdyne has most definately won it!

I really like the different styles people have... you can sort of tell the personality of the person... like some are hyper realistic, some are high on fantasy, some are super vibrant with livid colour, some are subdued dark and weathered, some are almost beaming bright with light, and some clearly tell a story

This. Seeing different style and interpretations of the universe the model is from is quite interesting!

I did, yeah. There were only a handful of entries though. Some of them were really good mind you.

Its hard to pick a model that is the best, Ive tried doing some free hand in the past for some stuff which is good but the rest of the miniature was meh, and sometimes the miniature is really great so Im partial based on that. So I went with this guy, I like the miniature in general, and I tried doing some different highlighting/layering and I think he came out pretty good.

Well that's what I was going for - overbright, cartoony warning colours - it's a very forgiving aesthetic style for the mediocre painter
