It's like I've rediscovered GW for the first time as a kid again and I'm dreaming up map based campaigns lol.
I feel similarly. It's taken me back to when I got into GW. This time I'm actually getting a lot of painting done. I've been drawing out maps and coming up with campaign systems too. For me it honestly still feels exactly like Warhammer ever did, but without a few hundred pounds of dead weight, took a shower and got a nice outfit.
Interesting note about Slaanesh there. Appreciate people summarizing some of these fluff books because I'm not quite open to diverting model money for them yet.

No problem I am more of a fluff man and collector with an interest in undead and chaos so the undead audiobook series, the call of Archeon e-short series and the advents are like a godsend to me. As a slaanesh fan this e-short really puts it in perspective the situation slaanesh warbands are currently in and that they are still actively looking and searching for slaanesh I assume same goes with the daemons as well. Imagine all the battles they face where their opponents call on their gods to aid them in so many ways and forms. All the slaanesh warbands have is themselves to keep going and the blessings they got from slaanesh in the past. I thought I would never feel sad for a slaanesh warband of all things.
One thing is clear to me the slaanesh followers do dearly love their god/goddess and are searching high and low for him/her. So we just have to wait until we get to the Aelf stuff and the realm of shadows to see things progress since I recall that the big fluff book at release said that the followers of slaanesh are congregating there.

I've really been enjoying the Stormcast novels. It's like reading a Saturday morning cartoon.

I do feel that the audio series does them really well and its interesting listening to Tarsus and Mannfreds discussions the audio series and several of the novel's in the realm gate wars series turned me into a Hallowed Knights fan. Only the faithful.......

Do any of you guys think it's a possibility that we'll see hard-copy printed versions of the digital-only short stories? Like, is there any precedent for Black Library putting out physical collections of their digital-only material?
I love the AoS setting and fluff, and I wanna check out Call of Archaon and the other e-shorts they've put out. But I don't care for the e-book format.

They've definitely done it for some 40k/Heresy stuff. Sometimes an eshort or two will be added to an Omnibus as well. Not sure if they will do so for AoS or not.

Duardin no - but if Fyre slayers float your boat, don't start before February...

Played a game yesterday and massacred me some Khornate scum. Lost 2 heroes though (Lord Relictor and Knight Vexillor) and my Retributors (2 handed hammers) and a few Liberators. Retributors are AWESOME. 3 guys (WHAoS box set)murdered a huge swarm of 20 Bloodreavers unaided (might have to invest in another box of those lads). Though, the Bloodwarriors were somewhat more difficult to put down. Those Gorefists are a pain in the ass (successful saves get you a chance to stab someone and inflict a mortal wound)

When used in conjunction with the PotS (Pennant of the Stormbringer) they are superb. That deep strike ability is so helpful- gets them stuck in!
