After a massive Falling out with most of my group that plays AOS I kinda went Blegh.

Im about to start my Massive Death/Ghoul army and im excited. Granted I will be dipping a majority of them, im excited to paint them
The Hardest will be the Terrorgeist, Manfredd and the Mournghul.

My normal core infantry are actually the forge world chaos dwarves. The Immortals are a nod to the old Immortal unit that was their elite (custom warscroll for campaign)

The models are chaos bits mixed with dwarf longbeards with great axes.

Just finished dipping my 14 ghouls
Tommorow I do Flayers and Haunters. Same deal, using Army PAinter Strong tone. But painting it on for the flayers. I might be able to dip the others, we will see.
But after priming them, I missed alot of mold lines, made me sad :(

Finished building my vanguard hunters.
Only thing left to build are the vanguard palladors.
Started on the first 'chicken' mount.
Really not a fan of the one or maybe two points of contact these ponies have with the bases. Not the most stable models.

Finished up about 2800 points of "Frosty Destruction" that I need to widdle down to 2000 points for a tournament coming up in May. Going to practice with them some this month and see what I like.

Thank you!

I picked up the Icewind Assault box and wanted to splash them into other armies via a generic Ogor battleline, but also wanted those Ogors to be consistent with what came in the Icewind box.

I wanted something besides "pale ogre".... something "cold" or "icy".

So, slow but steady progress is being made.

First up my Clan Moulder, now with completed bases:

Next, the first of the clanrats:

And finally, the leader of this expedition through the gnawholes, my Warlord:

Hoping to get the rest of the clanrats done over the next couple of weeks (work permitting) before I finish with Clan Skryre, then on to my treat for finishing...

MongooseMatt - the speed you churn stuff out is a constant source of inspiration and exasperation in equal measure (how does he do that... )

eekamouse - nice looking Ogors

While you sleep, they'll be waiting...

Have you thought about the Axis of Evil pension scheme?

So a while back I picked up a start collecting Sylvaneth box, specifically to get more dryads, and reluctantly because I saw my choice style of play would require at least one treelord to unlock those delicious battalions. I didn't like the treelord design at first, it looked less like a walking tree to me and more like a power rangers monster with a very loose tree theme, but over time it grew on me; to the point where it ended up being the first model in the box I assembled:

I've been building my sylvaneth to pair up with my wood elves, and to that end I want them to share some common elements to bring the army theme together, I see them as trudging through ancle-deep water, having a very swampy aesthetic, and obsessively pursuing vengeance in a way that becomes more vague and corrupting as they cut through the world. (Which in turn started from another conversation about how Slaanesh's corruption could manifest over excess anything, and how you could depict that in a non-sexual way.)

As with most things, I got distracted by another project and shelved it over the winter (always a builder, never a painter...) nut I happened to start listening to Blind Guardian again and it's got me excited to revisit the project. Next in line will be to build up those dryads, Greenstuff the gaps in my Drycha re-pose, and figure out exactly how I'm going to make the Mistweaver Saih mesh with my elvish swamp-people aesthetic.

There's an awful lot of hardwood in that army for it to make the case of being non-sexual.

Long time no post in this thread!

I haven't finished an AoS model since December, but I am currently working hard on quite a few projects. I have a Freeguild General on Griffon nearly complete. Here's the finished General (Siegfried Stormhart is back!), sans the Griffon.

I was really happy with the deep green armour on the model so I made a cheeky "Paint Splatter" to capture the recipe. I want to do another unit in this colour. Any ideas?

Reporting in!

I am working on finishing up my Ironjawz army, plotting out my Chaos army (Bloodbound, Khorne Daemons, and Slaves to Darkness), and then helping my wife get her Sylvaneth army up and going.

Currently, I have yet to paint any of my models to completion aside from some of the models from the Starter Set, but I'm not counting those right now as I'm not playing with them right now. My color scheme for my Ironjawz will be red and metallic for the armor, with bluish-green for the skin tones, which I am going with to avoid having a Christmas-themed Ork army My Chaos mortals will be painted up as Iron Warriors (yes, from 30K, and yes, with the hazard stripes). My wife is painting up her own Sylvaneth, and her first test models are looking good so far!

Currently on my project list:
Ironjawz:
2 Megabosses
Warchanter
Weirdnob Shaman
15 Brutes
6 Gore-gruntas
10 Ardboys
1 Aleguzzler Gargant (cause he came in the Battleforce last year)

Chaos:
3 Gorebeast Chariots
10 Chaos Knights
1 Sorcerer Lord
1 Blood Secrator
30 Bloodletters
3 Bloodcrushers
1 Bloodthrone

Hopefully with the spring weather being nice I can get them primed like I want so I can get them painted up soon! Then to find my camera and take pictures...

That's gorgeous. I'd love to implement this on sylvaneth weapons. Consider it stolen.

Looking snappy! I know its a work in progress but I can already imagine how great the base will look. As a sidenote, without my eyes drawn to the aesthetic magnitude of a actual image of his base, I was able to notice the fine paint work of his finely-wrought replica-Ghal Maraz.

Demigryph knights seem the obvious choice, but greatswords would also work well I imagine.

Just bought the 40 model bloodhound box for 25% off the already impressive savings (for GW). The box is already $100 off buying everything individually, so with a further 25%, it was 55% off. That's great in my book! Gonna build em all up to be awesome! Got the blades of blood book too.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Haha! I was looking forward to the base comment
Demi Gryphs are a great shout. I have always wanted a unit in my collection even if they are all kinds of terrible.
