I prefer the high quality pictures but if the video promises a 360 degree spin I will happily watch it. Sadly not likely to be possible if they are just sent images as suggested.

It is done quite othen with just images, there are some nice programs to do it with (some even make it easy).

The new transformer is like Beastwars over the older Autobot style. Not sure what one I like more.

Peter: As we all know, Christmas is that mystical time of year when the ghost of Jesus rises from the grave to feast on the flesh of the living! So we all sing Christmas Carols to lull him back to sleep.
Bob: Outrageous, How dare he say such blasphemy. I've got to do something.
Man #1: Bob, there's nothing you can do.
Bob: Well, I guess I'll just have to develop a sense of humor.

That's definitely a tremendous looking sculpt, can't wait to see the close-ups on Angel's FB page.

That being said, as a personal choice I think I prefer the concept and style of the previous miniature - although I'm sure there will still be the old models around for a while (no doubt more cheaply now!) for those who feel the same way.

I prefer the older sculpt, although this one will likely be easier to put together.

I like this redesign. I'm not a fan of the segmented arm look, but otherwise it's a very solid update. The redesign of the weapons alone are a serious improvement and the radome on its back is a neat little feature. It makes me wonder if they're planning on expanding its profile with some more options.

Does anyone think the Su Jian will be accessible to the Invincible Army? If so, then I think I could get away with using the old kit as an older model in service with the ISS and the new one being a military model.

Very likely. Both have a distinctive black&yellow symbol unique amongst all the Yu Jing profiles.

It's an unmanned transforming drone HI. Remote Presence, like a tiny version of PanO TAGs.
The tiger-form is hypermobile (6-6, climbing plus!) and the combat-form is durable and accurate at shooting, with a weapon for every occasion. Su-Jian is a real nasty peice of work.

Spoiler:

It is a Human Sphere unit though. Half the Yu Jing unit symbols changed colours from N2 to N3, it wouldn't be much of a stretch for the odd man out symbols (Su Jian, Shang Ji, Bao) to conform to the newly established styles in HSN3.

It'll have the updated painting scheme. A very impressive set of minis too. Yu Jing seems to be benefiting tremendously from the reculpt program...

Do we want/need a thread to discuss the ITS2016? Amusing that they continue to use Century Gothic as one of the fonts too... (it's related to the Futura font, which was used extensively in Original D&D and Original AD&D.)

Yes on the separate thread for any ongoing 2016 ITS talk.

Yeah, I wager they will. The Shang Ji Invincible will almost definitely have its logo changed to fit with the Yan Huo and Zuyong invincibles.

Images are easily rehosted and cropped to the point that the original site that got the images from CB won't be recognized for their 'effort'. It's much more effort to extract images from videos, and many people won't go through the effort.

This. Exactly this. I never bother to watch video previews. They're dumb. I just look for who has already screenshoted the pictures for me and reposted them somewhere else. I never bother with Beasts of War.

I'll watch a video, if it conveys some information that I can't get from a still. However, the images in this thread come from a BoW video that just zooms and rotates the images slowly, with some bad background music. It's less convenient than looking at the stills.

I'm rather conflicted by this new mini. I'd rather have new units being released, but it's very pretty. And looks like it could transform without having to disassemble itself like the old mini.

I picked the right time to go Yu Jing.

Any idea where the tail packs away in humanoid mode? Or do I want to know?

Ha!

This might be one time were you do not want to know more!

But it is 'just' a robot, so I guess it could collapse/telescope...anywhere?

I suggest going full Beast Wars and having the tail detach and used as a weapon.

I wonder where the tail goes in robot mode? I notice that it also lacks the boosters on its back like the original. I wonder if they're going to rewrite its fluff since the original blurb mentions is having them.

It apparently detaches and transforms into the knife the bipedal form is holding.

Was it TW Cen MT? I heard tell that it was Futura. Of course, who can forget the look of Souvenir? All iconic games have an associated font, if you think about it. Caslon Antique, Goudy Medieval, and to get back to Infinity, Orbitron.

Previews today?

Combat-Mode Su Jian has 4-2 movement, perhaps that's why they got rid of the boosters. It moves slower than even most heavy infantry in that form.

The fluff for it specifically mentions boosters, but in the context of "running at top speed". Seems like a Mobility Form thing.
Spoiler:
"Yes, effectiveness is great, but the best part of piloting a Su-Jian is activating the boosters and running at top speed through the battlefield, or defying gravity and climbing like a spider up the side of a building to shoot a pair of antitank projectiles at the enemy from where he least expects it!"

As for the tail, it probably retracts into that backpack-looking dorsal octagon. In Combat form, the octagon is jutting out significantly with a rail-looking thing for the tail. In Mobility Form, the octagon is more flush with the back and seems to have slif down a bit.

Nope, the knife is attached to the back of the 'leg' in mobility form, it's visible in some of Angel's other shots.

It's not digital camo.
If you look at it in this close-up, you can see that it is a variation on a leaf/moss pattern.

It's still intricate as hell, but it's really just a base color and then using the various camo colors to make interlocking jags.

Also, here's the other two releases that we hadn't seen yet:
Hector

Devil Dog variant

Disappointed that they just reused the Devil Dog main body from the USARF army box.

The Bandit is freaking gorgeous. I'm thinking I might have to get him.
