IMO the daemon price kit is good; while the options are limited the model is assembled in such a way that encourages conversion. However, its an old kit and that definitely shows. Its getting to the point where converting with bits from more recent kits contrasts with the lesser detail enough to be distracting.

If I recalled, it was also a kit that GW had made, but then sat on it for a long time before releasing it. It looked abit dated compared to other kits that came out around the same time if I recall.
I recall that as well, come to think of it.

Odd note:

Have we gotten any rumors about a rules change for the LoC?

With the size increase, if it has the same stats that would be... A little odd, at least.

Blood Angels, Custodes, Tzeentch, Alpha Legion, Astra Militarum, Deathwatch, Thousand Sons, Imperial Knights, Tau, Genestealer Cult.

I have a problem.

Being contrary for the sake of being contrary doesn't make you unique, it makes you annoying.

No rumours, but information straight from the horse's mouth. GW has stated that the Lord of Change will receive an updated warscroll for Age of Sigmar, but its rules for 40K will be unchanged.

The post on warhammer community said there will be an updated warscroll, so yes. I wonder if they will need Kairic somewhat.

Looking the rumourmill stuff, it seems plausible that Aos will have Tzeentch, Duardin, shadowkin and devoted of Sigmar this year. Throw in a new death faction and you have a very good year for AoS.

Edit ninjad!!!

40k Rules is mostly what I meant. That's a shame.

Blood Angels, Custodes, Tzeentch, Alpha Legion, Astra Militarum, Deathwatch, Thousand Sons, Imperial Knights, Tau, Genestealer Cult.

I have a problem.

Probably the wrong thread to ask that in then. The community post said the 40k rules are already available, so probably not changing, no.

The thread isn't about the new LoC. It's about AoS.

For 40k info, see the 40k thread, which also features the new LoC.

The Thirster's rules didn't change when it got a new model. Sure it got 2 new profiles, but the statline itself stayed exactly the same, only the wargear & special rules changed. No beefing it up to represent the new big model

Yeah so they just finished the interview with Nick Horth on warhammer tv who is writing this book. He goes into some of the finer details of the book.

Yeah so he explains further that a free guild captain see's something he should not have seen and only the witch hunter and his companion who is a duardin is helping him. He goes on to explain this book will see how normal people view all the craziness but on the ground level things are still similar yet not. Like there is a shard of the world that was in the sea next to the city that is mined as currency to be used to glimpse in the future.

Also the scourge privateers control the docks and they are not nice people going by Nick's description of them twitch chat called them pretty much Aelven mafia well they sound like it. The witch hunter is from the order of ayzr created by sigmar to destroy corruption in the new cities but they are stretched to the absolute limit with all the new people coming into the cities.

They also look at the divide between those who came from ayzr who are taking all the important jobs and the tribes nomands and people who survived the age of chaos coming into the cities it seems they live in the more slum like area. Also many of the people of ayzr view these people coming in corrupted by chaos because they wonder how they survived with the age of chaos hanging over them.

Also we get to see how a normal human views a stormcast of course some are heroic and mingle with the populace but the ones in the city are the knight excelsior who hate everything to do with chaos and of course if they get a hint they will carry out a purge and purges happened in the past. Hence why the witch hunter's job is so important.

One last thing sigmar's hope was to have all three main races living in the cities together of course certain armies are seperate and doing their own thing even if they are allies but largely the cities are a mixed population perhaps with one main group. Like the city on the novel is mainly a free guild city while let's say the one in the realm of life has a larger aelf population since it was mainly built by the phoenix temple. I quite like this since it makes it dynamic.

Now people want a new mordheim or AOS RPG the book sounds pretty awesome.

One of the comments on Atia's page:
"It is supposed to append several generations after the end of the realm gates war in the city of Excelsior.

Good interview with Nick Horth !

Pre-order this saturday "

Damn, just bought Crusaders of Dorn as a small read for Edinburgh trip but would have got this for it instead.

Not several but the one main characters parents were one of the settlers that came to the cities and they were part of the group that survived the age of chaos in ghur instead of being in ayzr.

Hm, will moving the timeline forward affect mortal characters do you think? Or do you think it'll be one of those things where "the model and rules represents the character at X time, and is not analogous with the story"?

Actually, are there any mortal heroes left? Do Stormcast age or is that removed in reforging? What about Orruks, Gordrakk being the only named one I can think of? I guess most of the other ones are gone or made immortal.

I suppose there's Sayl but he sorta doesn't count here.

I'd like to know what has been going on in the other Realms during all this time. Can't wait for the Tzeentch BT since I assume their fluff will take us up to the 'present' time in Sigmar. The timeline blurbs should be interesting; the loads of fancy circles with the random fluff tidbits about the faction.

Sylvaneth guard the humans who have settled? Don't think they will like the new settlers cutting down their trees for firewood.

How goes the search for Slaanesh?

How have the years taken its toll on the reforged Stormcast, are some going insane? As it was said a while back some have been reforged so much they just wait for the next battle.

Surely Nagash has been planning something....

Interesting that the timeline has jumped quite a bit forward. I thought it would be maybe 50 odd years after War for Life.

Sylvaneth don't hang around the cities they just live in the forests the everqueen did create a city but demanded those who decide to live there that whenever a threat to the forest arises they will defend it. Also GW have said it's not been long enough to the point it's far in the future just to the point where people have built cities and such and considering they have dwarfs and magic it should not take TOO long at all.

Well if the main characters parents came to the city when it was first raised were only talking lime 50-60 years which seems a reasonable jump for things to start happening.

The Lord of Change is marked as 'Last Chance to Buy' on the U.K. site and has disappeared from the U.S. site, while Kairos Fateweaver is listed as 'Sold Out' on the U.S. site.

Something to keep in mind is the realmgate wars themselves took decades; these events are not happening over a year or two. Also yes, Stormcast are immortal and do not age. And none of the campaign characters I'm aware of are bound by petty things like mortality.
