Thanks for the name of the sculptor Keezus, I've looked up his other work now and happily have a few of them, all really good Orc Models. e.g Nazgob, that's an absolutely brilliant model.
This months theme seems to have really brought out lots of good looking models and some very good painters, think its going to be a very hard fought battle for votes.
hi guys! i think if its ok id like to enter this months challenge. I leave for brazil for 10 days on sunday so i will not start painting till mid month, and may not finish who knows, but, heres a couple proof pics of my choice for this comp, the one and only, commissar Yarrick! A true hero!!
and primed:
hopefully its cool Thanks everyone, looking forward to seeing everyones results. Last months entries were fantastic!
Cheers
You inspired me to finally put some paint onto my old hero quest figures, ive miss placed the wizard.
Proof with base coats.
I wasn't going to enter this month at all, but decided it was an opportunity to bring back my HeroQuest barbarian. But then you come along with your three characters and now I need to up my game! So I've dusted off these guys and they're currently sat in the gunk, getting stripped.
So it looks like we've got a good old head-to-head 'Quest-off'!
So first point to ssisal for goading me into this, but call it 1-1 because I've still got my wizard
(I'll post a single 'final' proof pic once all 4 are stripped and cleaned up)

Great use of the Chaos Spawn head there, Newb. What's the axe made from?

Do Yarrick. Should be much quicker than either of the former.

The Axe is based on the Staff of the sorcerer version, an added Axe-head for one end, the main Edge is from a 'Morghast Achai' (Undead AoS Model) weapon. The sprue
comes with 12 weapons for 2 models, so many of left over weapons/bits.

Trying to get storm cast wings for a St. Celestine and/or a big stormcast hammer for a Cannoness conversion but it's looking like I might just have to miss out.
My beloved 40K armies:
Children of Stirba Order of Saint Pan Thera
WIP - I completed the basecoat on the PHR special commanders for DzC.. I figure blue is an appropriate color for the commanders of a fire-themed army because the blue & white parts of the flame are the hottest (and also because I need a break from painting so much yellow, orange, & red ).
Lots of brushwork still to be done.
PHR infantry & DKoK soldier shown for scale.

Para, a new proof pic for me. I'm going for all four...

Paradigm I never found out if a Knight is eligible
