Get a few storm shield and hammer terminators to cover for those frag launchers, i suppose...

4 Frag launchers, a sergeant w/ xenoblade and storm shield, a black shield with a heavy Thunderhammers, two termies with TH/SS in a pod might not make little formation, depending on the price of the Xenoblade, Blsckshield upgrade, and Frag Launchers.

Been waiting for Deathwatch for awhile and from what I see this really feels like Deathwatch.

Honestly if it weren't for tau intercept shenanigans I could see this being crazy powerful haha!!

Also one bike in a squad is pretty boss, gives you split fire AND skilled rider, and the army can pretty much deep strike so precision drops all over the place.

Just the pure versatility available to each squad is so awesome!! I love it!!

Okay, thinking about it, having a few jinking bikes sitting at the front of a unit with a 3+ cover save is actually a decent tactic if kinda weird and unfluffy.

He looks nothing like that other Farseer except the pose. The clothes and equipment are completely different. It would be a huge hassle to to a "copy and paste job" using anything more than the basic Eldar doll (which is the same technique they used when sculpting by hand). The CAD conspiracy theories are crazy at this point...

Or are they all different? (Like Overkill)

What's the basic loadout for termies? Stormbolter and power fist?

Every model is generic, no forced upgrades like overkill.

Gotta be careful about painting Blood Angels black. Things tend to go sideways after that.

Does anyone know when the DW codex will be up for download? I keep looking for it on my iPad but not finding it.

Some questions:

The description of the Veteran Squad didn't mention options for powers swords or storm shields, yet the pictures show Veterans with them. So they can take those items, right?
Assuming that they can get power weapons, how much do they cost, and are they in addition to their normal weapons, or do they have to replace their pistol or bolter?

Can the characters (and which of them) take any of the following:
-Xeno sword
-Relic blade (the normal SM variety)
-Terminator armour
-Artificer armour
-Bike
-Jump pack
-Storm shield
-(Heavy) thunder hammer
-Any other unusual weapon or wargear that was not yet mentioned?

What is the Difference between a Normal and Heavy Thunder Hammer?

heavy is S10 AP2, 2h, and a 6 to wound gains the instant death rule iirc.

that's right, except the S4 AP4 was Assault 2 (rules should be on the first post as the OP has kept it really well updated).

Just a quick query. If there are changes to the digital copy are GW now updating them? I also have a vague memory that I read someone recently got offered a reduction off the next edition of a codex having bought the previous. However I did not get this service when they brought out the latest DA codex

Just some things I'd like to clear up.

How do the named characters actually interact with the codex? Are you allowed to use them in place of normal models or can they only be taken in their separate formations that they came with?

There isn't anything in the flyers datasheet that says it can't take terminators right?


Last is more of rules verification. When bikes are in the squad and they jink, only they will get the cover save and have the take snap shots right?

I wish the detachment allowed for separate terminators and bikes, but if terminators can go into the drop ship, and jink doesn't hurt the entire kill team, I would feel much better about the formations

I'm probably going to have to get me an Eldrad just to paint. Always loved my Eldar back when I cared about 40k. Nice model.

Yep, its basically all of the kits they would normally sell separately at a huge discount for everything together.

Pretty pumped, I think everything has the veteran statline standard and have the ability to select from all the weapons(like hammers, CCW, etc)

Obviously will have to wait and see to be sure of everything.

I do like the idea of little one man units running around and just being annoying.

Jinking (both the cover saves and snap shots) only effect models in the unit with the jink special rule (in this case, the bikes.) Oh, also, the bike's skilled rider special rules means the entire unit ignores dangerous terrain tests which is actually quite handy.

Probably pick up a copy from Element Games... Looks nice - not sure if every do anything with it though as 40k rarer and rarer here.

Likely sell on the Eldred as have the old one professionally painted.
