What about the water you used to rinse the brush in (the fact that it can be used with a brush is listed as a plus.)
It's not going to be a lot, but I dare say each use of toothpaste with microbeads isn't a lot individually either.
I won't be using it, mostly because I have about a gajillion different basing options already, but the microbeads would give me pause as well.
The microbeads that are banned are only of a certain size too. Basically the stuff in skin care and other products that are too small to get caught by city filtration systems. The ones in the paint image linked on the other page look large enough they'd never enter into the water supply.

Not sure is this really correct thread but maybe somebody knows answers:
a) is this available only in specific gaming stores or is it more widely available?
b) what requirements it HAS for android app? Says android 4.1 but my 6.0.1 can't install it. What other requirements white dwarf app has?
Unlike september october looks to have enough content I might find interesting so am considering buying one. But obviously I need to be able to buy it. Don't have miniature store nearby, not paying postage fees for sake of one magazine and app seems to be not usable with my current equipment(weird that galaxy s6 is insufficient but there you go...)

Yeah,
Micro beads are tiny tiny bits of plastic used in face scrubs and toothpastes to give them a rough texture to scrub.
All this plastic goes down the drain and into the sea, tons of it every day! these tiny beads are now found in lots of fish bodies...
The UK is making it illegal in products you wash down the drain, because other non plastic grit options are available.
But texture paint is going on miniature bases and not down the drain it should be ok.
Panic...

Indeed, it's all a load of micro-bollox really; at least where the GW paints are concerned.
I liked the new WD this month, the comic was nice but I won't be getting the full thing (not after the recent Deathwatch Graphic novel; that was pants).
Jes article, good.
Tale of 4 wargamers continues.
Genestealer Cult battle report looks nice but not read it yet.
Golden Demon stuff has some nice pictures.
GEnestealer release is quite well covered.
Still happy with the Sub.

a) I don't know if you get in everywhere, but the bigger newsagents should carry it. I have seen last months issue in a newsagent in Vienna airport and I heard is was sold in WHSmith as well.

Well technically some of it is going down the drain. When you are cleaning the brushes. But still not as much as other products like health care or beauty products that was said before. It's not 100% not going down the drain but still some of it will be going down the drain. I guess what is acceptable going down the drain.

I don't care for that cover, but then, sometimes comics have dumb covers and are still a good read. There is a rule about not judging a comic by something, i dunno what, but I think my post covers it.

Also, being much larger, they will probably get caught in the filtration of your local water treatment plant and not get into the rivers and streams like the cosmetic micro beads.
So, perhaps nothing to worry about? Move on?

Maybe I will give it a shot then. Been ages since I read a comic. I think I quit in the early or mid 90s when I stopped collecting then.

Those tiny beads that are in hygiene products do, but these are probably bigger.

This isn't a new thing, most comics these days have4 variants: 2 retail covers, a retailer incentive cover, and a subscription cover. The new Power Rangers comic had 7 cover variants alone for issue #1.

Is this the first time that a release from Gw proper has not been covered in a white dwarf. There is no mention of the mat or the space marine bundle.
