That looks awesome. Won't buy anything of it, but I'm really interested in the story. This might be the step back to true Chaos Legions again. Really hoping Death Guard gets something similar.

they showed the Tsonsmarine Rubric sprue in the video that showed off magnus. It looked like 10 rubrics marines per set with an option to turn one into a captain/sorcerer.

This is sweet and all but I can't help but wonder how this ties in with a dex for TSons. Surely the next warzone fenris would have to come after they release the TSons codex? This made no mention of a codex. Or is this the Black Library part of it?

That was awesome!

Very happy with the look of the Tzangoors. Just what I wanted.

And some crazy looking heavy weapons also for one of the Rubrics.

I hope we see the horned sorcerer, the one calling Aharamin a traitor, get a model as well.

Anyone know if the Ahriman model showcased a couple weeks ago with Magnus and Mini Magnus is the new plastic Ahriman model or, just a reproduction, or if they are holding back on a new sculpt. I was super happy with the new Eldrad and hope we get a new model.

Rules aside the models are showing great hope.

Rubric termies... awesome!!

That's why I consider there will also be a Rubric Havoc kit. Like they had in Epic and 1st Ed, but without the Tzeentch disks (or even with?). There is no Rotor cannon on that sprue (two actually) in the Warhammer TV dustbin video.

Wasn't the point of the Rubric to stop all mutations for the few remaining thousand sons that didn't turn into caskets? Or I guess they could still receive demonic gifts from their patron?

The guys with half-decent psyker mojo didn't get Rubric'd but the weaker ones did. Plus, it's possible that they've been able to replicate more gene-seed to implant in new recruits.

Oh my goodness.

This really does look spectacular.

Three kits are all it takes for me: Rubric Marines, Rubric Terminators and Magnus. Give me those three and I will be ecstatic.

Small point about the fact that the terminators in the video looked to be Tartaros armour: Could it be that the fact that the figures from the Prospero box, as with Calth, have been designed as the separate sprues they have to aid in-box kitbashing.. by which I mean, if GW wanted to create a very specific box of Rubric terminators with very little effort it would require only a third "upgrade" sprue to be included with the existing two Tartaros-spec sprues from Prospero? Just a thought! You might even be able to cram it onto one of the upgrade-style sprues the way they did for Deathwatch and Genestealer Cults. You need, what, five heads, ten shoulder pads and maybe a fancy sword and gun or two? The cult and deathwatch sprues are really quite packed so it really wouldn't be difficult.

Anyway, I'm only spitballing. The Rubric Terminators, if they are definitely "a thing", could very well be a full, unique kit or an upgrade bundle; at this point, I wouldn't care either way. We know the regular Rubrics are a full kit, however, which is great.

But seriously;;; assault cannon-wielding regular space marines....? They must be marines that got lost on a few space hulks during the Space Crusade era!

I thought it was that the became immune to the mutations, the strongest of them had their powers elevated while the rest were sealed and turned to dust. But good point with the possibility of it being a future recruit. Plus the TSon in Battle of the Fang was mutating etc.

Just the mere fact that they're actually assault cannons is enough to get chaos players jumping for joy

I was hoping for some cool heavy weapon options for units like a crazy Tzeentch heavy soulblaze flamer or something.

From an aesthetic point of view I am hoping the bolters all have gargoyle heads.

The upgrade kit only came with two.

That pic of the heavy weapon with a gargoyle head on top looks "Right On"! Rubric Havocs like mentioned earlier would be cool though I hope it is a special weapon upgrade for troops and termies.

Also excited to see if rubrics get any CC love. If not hopefully the Tzangoors can fill this spot.

This is looking to be a fantastic range.

So, will rubrics be a 5 man dual kit or 10 man tactical and some kind of specialist kit.

Super pumped. Can't wait to start assembling and painting.

But for the love of all that is holy, this better be a successful campaign for the Thousand Sons. It's about time something horrifically and irrevocably bad happened to the most Mary Sue of all of the Space Marine chapters. And I say that as a former Space Wolf player...

The sprue pics glanced in the Magnus reveal video suggests they'll be a ten man squard due to the uneven number of components on the sprue. There were something like 8 heads, 10 sets/21 shoulder pads and seven sets of legs or something on the two-frame sprue held up on camera. So there's likely a third sprue with the remaining parts.

Before everyone goes off on one about the "assault cannon" - are you sure it isn't a rotor cannon, from HH?

It would fit better with the gear TS had before they ran away to the EoT, after all...

But HBMC got it down to the essentials.

By the way the Book is called Wrath of Magnus.

Also when you look closely at the depiction of the Termie armors, you can clealry see that they are Tartaros pattern armors, they had the distinctive rounded shoulders.

KSons termies are Tartaros? In 40k?

Several legions had Assault cannons during the HH. This may be an indication of the Thousand Sons being one of them.

True, but last time was in M32 and Ahriman wasn't even there. But now it's the 40k <3 New battles and plot, oh, this is gonna be so good, I can only hope this makes Russ return as the rumours suggest: Loyalist Primarchs returning to face the Traitor ones

Assault cannon would be just fine. TS are one of the few legions where we have a VERY good clue that they were using assault cannons before the Heresy. They had been issued them as replacement for their reaper cannons, for terminators, although they still referred to them as reapers for numeralogical reasons.
