I mean the new Canoness model is the biggest teaser I have ever seen.

It's perfectly designed to get people's mouths watering for more.

Eh, I doubt it's designed for that purpose, and there's a lot of people who say "if this is the future of SoB I don't want in". It is, rather, designed to celebrate Blanche's art.

I have to concur with Pretre, or with hwat he seems to suggest anyway. I doubt there will be serious changes to the Sisters aesthetics.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

Anyone know what the big red symbol on Celestine's webcart picture here is and if it's new? I don't seem to remember it but I'm not 100%

On the dutch webstore of GW 'Celestine the Living Saint' has just become a 'last chance to buy' product. GW is completely running out of Sister models, I wouldnt be surprised if they get a surprise release tomorrow instead of having to wait for another three to four weeks.

Some of the existing metal models have poses or elements to them that won't look the same if they try to implement it in plastic. Off the top of my head, the sister with her off-hand resting on the hilt of a sheathed sword with a tassel on the end of it, or the one pulling the pin from a grenade with her teeth.

Even the bog standard battle sister, if looked at close enough, is clearly holding a bolter-shaped tumor growing out of her midsection, ita most obvious when staring down the barrel of the gun.

Again, I would love for a plastic kit, but this isn't the first time sisters models have dropped off the store. (IIRC it isn't the first time they've dropped off the store since the bin video.)

They could just as easily be transitioning Saint Celestine into finecast.

Regardless, I want to believe.

That basic Sisters, etc. are all going to Finecast?

OK, I'd believe that. $80 USD for 10 failcrap models.

Or rather, $50 USD for 5 failcrap models, because GW's gotta amortize the cost of converting the mold...

I can't say for myself, but people who I know who recently bough forecast models say they're a lot better than before.

Traitor Legions was rolled into the Daemon Magnus thread. You may check over there, but I don't remember him officially reviewing the book yet.

He's talking about the major leaks that VN put out on pre-order.

They're right, the major leak is in the WOM thread. But we don't want to make you dig through the quagmire that thread has become so just go here and you'll see what this fine, fine person gave us:

It seems I wasn't clear enough. I was there in the WoM thread when he released all the Legions stuff and it was glorious. I'm asking if/when we can expect the same here.

Another thing I would like to mention is, how 'logical' would it be to release a new rulebook that includes formations or possibly the entire SOB codex....BUT there are no miniatures. Most of the tanks? Gone. Normal Sisters? Gone. Most characters/hq's/specials?Gone. Of course anything is possible, but I doubt GW would give us rules for non-existent products. Can you imagine the costumer support? "Yeah I am emailing you because I want to play formation X from the Imperial Agents book, but I cannot find the models on your website." . Or maybe I am just being dumb and it all makes perfect sense.

Or, again, maybe they're just repackaging the existing range for re-release with the book. Something they've done countless times before.

This^. Come on guys, why would we be asking for traitor legion leaks A) Here and B) days after the full rules have been released everywhere?

I really hope someone has their fingers on the trigger for C:IA spoilers as soon as new zeeland goes up.

It was obvious what you meant really. He will post when the book goes on for preorder on the GW site. Later on today, assuming he is kind enough to do it.

This kind of wouldn't make any sense though, GW don't drop prices outside of Start Collecting! type box sets. They've not put a metal model in a box set for years, as far as I can remember. So the SoB would be repackaged at the same ridiculously high prices only in 5 or 10 girl squads. That would mean damn near 8$ per model for ancient metal models, that no one will buy. The vast majority of people that buy SoB have all the metals they need and anyone looking to grab a squad for C:IA will be going to ebay for them; and it's possible the rules in C:IA aren't good and then no one will want 8$ metals either. Oh, and it's still GW so the character blisters would go up 5-10$ to match the others.

A rebox at this point is pretty much the same as a squatting.

Or resin.

It had appeared that GW were done with 'Fine'cast, but the release of the Canoness in resin suggests that maybe they're going to give it another go, for some inexplicable reason.

Makes a certain amount of sense... Given the reluctance GW have always had over actually spending any money on the Sisters range, I can easily see them choosing to keep the existing range and just upgrade to resin rather than going for the expense of making plastic models.

Doesn't count, entirely 'new' kit. It's not violating company policy if it's not even for the same faction(the clever dogs )

95$ vs 86$. If you don't need dw bits doesn't exactly look like price decrease. More like price hike.
