Not a huge AoS fan, but the color coded factions and incorporated terrain are a fantastic idea for making it a more approachable product. Elitist poo pooing misses the point- want better? Paint them!
The Shadow Wars I'm a bit more iffy on. The terrain seems good sized, but doesn't seem particularly flexible. It looks kinda of like a partial piece of the original NM set, but molded. From a play perspective, it is very flat and doesn't have the running levels that made Necromunda visually and tactically interesting. Might make some really good 15mm sci fi buildings though!

Bundles, plural? That makes it seem like it's a Stormcloud Attack style thing, with maybe kill-teams for two different factions in each box.
If there's a unique terrain piece in each box, that could be interesting. From what I can see, it looks like the terrain might be Necromunda-style mixed plastic and cardboard. The big round thing and the supports are almost certainly plastic, but the platforms and sides look suspiciously flat and I think I can see a white edge on some of them.

Damn, that necromunda terrain looks like ti could still hold up to todays standards. Tbh from here it almost looks better than the what I assume is the laser cut mdf from shadow war. Except for the tower thingies, those look cool.. they also give off an oddly tau vibe rather than gothic ^_-

Well, the IP is still a thing - since they've announced the Necromunda PC game. I don't think we'll see a Necromunda boxed game anytime soon (I'd like one just for some terrain and some new multi-part plastics). I don't think gangs would have enough cross-over with 40K to justify it. Specialist games used to be heavily supported by full model lines, and I don't see that kind of interest from GW at the moment.

I think those slides are aimed at retailers. I imagine GW is trying to sell bundles to stores to go alongside the starter. I like the look of the terrain but I hope those towers are able to be broken down into smaller sections. If it is compatible with the pipes I might be tempted to pick up the bundle that was leaked a while ago.

GAMA is a trade show, not a con. That presentation ios for retailers, so I'm thinking that the "bundles" are suggested items to offer alongside the game; Possibly something boxed specifically for SW similar to the Start Collecting boxes, but I think it's more likely to be simply a list of suggested stock.

The specialist games section of forgeworld is still trying to staff up. It seems like they are struggling to meet the demand for new bloodbowl stuff and with Titanicus on the horizon, a third game is probably a while off.

Looks a bit more basic than I hoped. Probably not for me but still a great idea on the part of GW when it comes to offering more variety and (if cheap) getting new people in. Plus I have hope that when the new specialist games get around to Necromunda they will do a good job of it.
Anyway, this news has inspired me to do a necromunda game in this fashion. Imagine each player has a gang (either Steel Legion, Hive Gangers, even Marine Scouts) and rather than fighting each other they fight NPC orks. You would need modify Necromunda campaign rules very little to do this.

Perhaps not MDF per se, but look at the "bridge" supports and the floor. They look suspiciously flat and think and full of straight lines.
the towers look liek they could be plastic but the rest looks more like the typical mdf cut terrain. Could just be cardbaord or whatever but it doesn't look like the average GW plastic terrain to me.
Gangs of comorragh doesn't have plastic terrain either does it?
By plastic I mean the typical GW sprue stuff btw.

I think his point is that people are making assumptions on the rules, when no real details other then this is a Necromunda Successor.
I for one am Excite for this.... That being said I was excite for gangs of Comgera (or how ever it is spelt) but was left slightly disappointed. I am still hopeful that this is as close to Necro as it can be.. At worst I get some nice terrain and keep playing Necromunda Community Edition

Yeah, my point is that saying "if you wanna play Necromunda just play Necromunda" is perfectly valid. And I'm oh so sorry for pre-countering the next counterargument, this discussion has been done so many times I've become exceedingly efficient at it.

very much double the rules will be copy and paste of necromunda which was in essence 2ed 40k + extras.
I expect it'll have the concepts of necro e.g. weapons jamming, pinning, wound charts etc but in a more accessible easier to pickup way.
What might be interesting is if this is the 40k lite that was rumoured a while back e.g. the gateway drug to 40k and might include some of the elements that might be in 8th ed

A new skirmish scale 40K can only be a good thing. Killteam was nice in theory but was a half arsed attempt at it. If this has a good squad builder built in it could work as a perfect gateway game for 40K proper.
I need more details but am very much interested. My main concern, if it is mean as a gateway game what rules is it based on. If it's based on 7th edition rules what happens to it when the rumoured 8th drops a couple of months later?
And would it have killed them to do a least a couple of new models for it.

See one of my concerns is that they do a copy paste of the rules update they did at the end of the 90's it took a fair chunk of flavor out of the game.. and actually had more holes in the rules then the original rules themselves

Kill team scale, not Kill Team. Going with a Necromunda style rules system gives them a chance to rebalance the forces and look at how they work in the context of the game.
I'm making out Imperium, Tau, Tyranid symbols on there, which gives you an idea as to the supported factions in the rulebook. Can anyone make out the other symbols?
Also there will be free tournament or campaign support from GW to retailers as stated in the presentation.
I think it looks interesting. I've painted a Carcharadon Kill Team up, so I definitely have one force. I hope Genestealer Cult are in it.

In the video there is a tray with a design printed on the outside that contains the models and booklets. You take the stuff out and turn it upside down and it's the building.

I think the problem here is the nature of gw's communication. We are seeing info from a trade show designed to sell to retailers. The official press releaseon the community site does not mention Necromunda at all.
Even the retailer says it is like Necromunda, not a sequel or a successor. I still firmly believe that there will be a full new Necromunda from forgeworld eventually.
As it stands this is a new version of skirmish play borrowing from a rule set that has proved popular over time.
I am firmly in favour new ways to play with existing minis. We will have to see how the new rules hold up.
As an aside Gw's productivity recently has been crazy. This is the 4th boxed game announced this year and the 15th in 3 years (the previous ten years had 2 games.) On top of that we have already had 2 battletomes, 3 campaign books for 40k, inferno for HH, another bloodbowl team and a selection of lotr minis. We are still only halfway through March. I hope GW us expanding its player Base because existing players are running out of money.
To get back to the point the cry for Real Necromunda is being heard all over the Facebook pages at the moment.
A little thing saying that the specialist studio will continue to revive old IP would assuage a lot of fears and let people judge this product on its own merit.
