I had one of everything on standing order for about four months.

Didn't know what that would be but it pays to be prepared; it worked for BB, it worked for SWA, it'll work for NuNecro too!

I don't think the extra card packs will be all that necessary for casual play. I'm sure i'll get them eventually but I won't be getting them this month.

Also are the cards for the gangers/and tactic ploys going to be standard size? I typically like to sleeve all of my cards for gaming. But the character cards look the same as DW overkill or WHQ. The quality of the GW cards is not quite as good as FFG, based on my experience with Shadespire. I'm thinking sleeving GW cards is going to be a must as far as i'm concerned.

So far i'm ok with everything we've seen here outside of the cards. I appreciate that they expect people might buy several of a given gang box, but only need one set of cards (thus not bundling them together), but at first blush it does come across a bit nickel and dimey.

I agree with the no interest in cards. I will have to buy 2 factions as I'm not interested in Goliath or Escher. Delaque all day e'vry day.

I could see this filling in as 40k's shadespireish equivalent, if they release a short mission ruleset.

Since everything us turning intobsome sort of collectable card game why should GW not get in on that action

Does anyone know the size dimensions of those new wall sections?

I'm interested in using them in addition to some of the old ones to make some multi level buildings.

How do the new figures stack up with Vic's female figures? Do we have a line on Victoria's figures sizing up with these new Eshers?

Would like to add head options, and weapons load outs when the time comes, and need to find out their scale.

The more you repeat this in each thread you post in the more you look like an obsessed bitter ex. I just read the same thing posted by you today as part of your larger rant in the KoW Vanguard thread. Don't like whichever/all GW games, don't play them. That's fine. Cool. No problem. But FFS please stop going on and on about it at every opportunity in unrelated threads. No-one actually cares.

Nobody particularly cares about your opinion of his opinion either. Seriously, if you have this burning desire to harass people for not being double-plus allgood positive enough, PM them.

There's lots of things I don't like, but I don't feel the need to trumpet them all over the place in unrelated threads. I don't mind him (or you!) not liking AoS, or 8th or whatever. You've got the right to your opinions, etc. Feeling a burning desire to bang on about it in unrelated threads constantly is a different matter. This is probably the place to complain about things you may not like about the re-release of Necromunda rather than bringing up the fething dead horse of AoS bitching again. It's nothing to do with being "double-plus allgood positive enough" and everything to do with perhaps not endlessly bitching about other games in the Necromunda or KoW Vanguard threads (like, both, in the same day - the one in the Vanguard thread is a huge, rambling, WTF rant).

Speaking of sunshine and rainbows, I'm personally not too thrilled about the Day-1 DLC model that they're using on Necromunda for example, and having additional card expansions for each gang takes it from egregious to exploitative, IMO. But, you know, I'm not complaining about Dungeon Saga's rules in this thread.

One thing I really hope is that the scenarios in the main box are universal, that being that don't require the tiles. Necromunda was always a game in dire need of new scenarios, as most of the ones in the main rulebook just weren't fun.

Alternate activation would mitigate some of them (Ambush wouldn't be such a quick game), but we often ransomed captured Gangers because we just couldn't be bothered to set up a Rescue Mission, and the losses to the sentries just wasn't worth the effort compared to selling the Ganger back.

Awww, rescue missions were the best part about being captured. I remember playing three back-to-back because one of the guards in the first one got captured, and then one of the rescuers in the secondone also got captured.

I just picked Scavengers as often as possible. It was Gang Fight, but you had to move and complete an objective. The extra Credz were always worth it.

Such a fun mission.

Were they though? Only if you were an outlaw.

I'm expecting all the missions to use the tiles in the main book, It's like a complete game in and of itself. Then gang war will have universal scenarios

Been going through my gumph, and I’m wondering how well the board sections from Calth et al might work for Necromunda?

Sure the boards are a good deal smaller, but might work out well for smaller scaled raid scenarios and that?

I usually went for Scavengers, too (Shadow War's version, where the monster only takes a model Out of Action, is an improvement).

Even for regular gangs, more money is always good.

There's six scenarios in Necromunda Underhive, and six more in Gang War. Even if those six in the box only work in the Underhive terrain, that's still the same as the number officially released for original Necromunda.

(six in Necromunda, three in Outlanders, three in White Dwarf, IIRC)

We played the odd game of 1st edition Necro on Space Hulk tiles, so I'm sure the new one will work on Calth tiles, Space Crusade boards, board sections from Doom, Imperial Assault, etc, ...

IIRC the Calth boards are rather open, so you might want to add a lot more scatter terrain.

They are, but there’s a few squares which block LoS.

Typically ‘2D but actually 3D’ can confuse things when it comes to who can see what. But I’d hope that see through ruler might help speed things up?

I saved all of the tiles from all the random boxed games and I think they will come in handy for diversifying the basic box game.

This is why the tiles from FFG's DOOM (1st Ed) were the best. Glad I own two sets of 'em.

I can't remember how many user-made missions appeared in all the Necromunda magazines they put out. I always remember The Gunk Flood. That was a hard mission. Always had to keep moving up!

Yeah, the Doom tiles are pretty good.Rather bland, but nice large squares, unlike the new Descent 2nd ed and Imperial Assault tiles that are awfully small.

Reckon the Deathwatch Overkill one’s could prove incredibly deadly if combined with the 3D rules for being blasted off gantries. I mean, it’s a hella long way down on some of those.

Through given their lay out and large amount of ‘dead’ space, might need to declare all shots across the void areas as some form of cover? Given there’s rails and that.

I just hope we get rules for zombies at some point, Necromunda is not complete without a proper zombie scenario.

I cannot recommend Compilation I and II on Yaktribe's Vault enough, collecting most original Necromunda articles (incl Citadel Journal, etc) in two pdfs. Lots of material, including missions, and new gangs like Genestealer Cults. Especially the first Collection (ORB) might give a good look into what they might bring back for the new edition of the game, tons of ideas

Have to agree with this. There are also some excellent alternative rules for rescue missions somewhere on yaktribes, something like nine different variant missions.

We used those in the climax of an Inquisimunda campaign (spoiler - we all got murdered by Necron Immortals). IIRC, we used the rule from outlanders that barriers gave you a re-roll to the falling test.
