Maulerfiends of Slaanesh with an escort character (daemon prince with wings for rerolls!) will be cool now, with advance + charge.

I wonder whether Forge World will FAQ that Daemon Lords have to take X warlord trait? All the Daemon Lords seemed to get overpriced into uselessness, but if you can deep strike them + pick the warlord trait, Zarakynel and Scabbiaethrax might be worth their high points costs.

Is An'ggrath still not worth it? ;-;

Yeah the DS strategy opens up a lot more options. Soul Grinders might even get into combat now as well.

I am not entirely sold on the Locus mechanic. Adding another buff makes HQ units even more valuable and adds extra bookkeeping to keep track of detachments on the table. Heralds are force multiplier instead of close combat machine. Letting them engage in melee isn't worth the risk. If they get melee snipped the rest of your units get that much weaker. Daemonettes/Seekers with S4 is a big factor in combat.

Even less worth it at 888 points, but 2 CP to DS him shakes things up. IMO Brass Scorpion FTW. Great short-range shooting, then charge 3d6". Re-roll if near herald. Yummeh.

Hmm, I think a KoS or Daemon Prince with Bewitching Aura and Aura of Acquiescence could be surprisingly tough to take down. At least during the fight phase. -2 attacks to every enemy MODEL in 3", and -1 A in 6".

I believe that ban was lifted after Chapter Approved?

Slaanesh finally up

Edit: yet again one of the graphics is missing lol

It's amusing that the first picture in the article is an Herald on Seeker Chariot.
You know, that unit that's not in the Codex.

The Tzeentch faction focus mentions "unusual" models and that links to the Gaunt Summoner.

I'd love for the Gaunt Summoner an Magister to get 40k rules. Great models.

Blood Angels, Custodes, Tzeentch, Alpha Legion, Astra Militarum, Deathwatch, Thousand Sons, Imperial Knights, Tau, Genestealer Cult.

I have a problem.

Being contrary for the sake of being contrary doesn't make you unique, it makes you annoying.

Now Daemonettes can deep strike and charge they have a better chance than ever before of getting into combat.

The Seekers can now advance and re-roll charge, making then mega speedy.
Seekers could already advance and charge and you could get a charge reroll with the stratagem , unless you mean they gained an innate ability to re-roll charges ?

They lost the ability to advance and charge innately. They now only get that ability if they are in a mono-slaanesh detachment and they start their movement phase within 6?" inches of a slaanesh character from that or another mono-slaanesh detachment. In turn, they gained the innately ability to reroll failed charges.

So, not sure if this has been covered, but how do loci work with summoned units?

How does the loci work, does all units in an detachment have it, all characters or only one?

Is it just me, or does this guy look like he never seen the index daemons before?

He didn't even recognize the heralds just got a name change and are otherwise the same and kept looking for the "new models"

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now.

Skarbrand's Slaughter and Carnage has a second mode as well. Same as was described as the BT of insensate rage

hit rolls of 6 cause 2 hits instead of 1

Units within 8" of skarbrand that want to fallback roll 3d6 if greater than the leadership can't fall back. still no morale tests and add 1 A

He does preface by saying he doesn't play daemons and has only played against them once.

Winters has a review up as well, no good shots that I saw but he is much more thorough.

from listening, here is the locus we all wanted to know: "If your army is battle-forged and all units belong to the same god, each character gets a locus ability"

supreme command/patrol detachments for the buff characters and a soup detachment for everyone else it sounds like!

Oh my, the screamers.

All attacks are lampry, and you don't need to advance for slashing attack (just move over dudes)
With the same cost.

Between that and flamer range buff (and S based attacks) you got everything a tzeentch list can hope for, even with the less useful horrors.
A shame that exalteds cost more, but they are also deadlier, so it evens out.

I gotta think how to convert a few screamers to fit my "ghost" looks.
And burning chariots.
At least I got prince, flamer and horror stand-ins already. (and scribes and changeling, but they appear to be shelf material for now)

For the TOs looking at this and wringing thier hands at potential abuse with multiple primarch DS. if you feel you must houserule (I am dubious if it will really be as effective as people think because of objectives) the least damaging way to do so is to prevent the 2CP deepstrike from working on anything over 23PL. simple and cuts out the LoW without messing with any of the larger HQs
