They really should have allowed Black Legionnaires to take heavy bolters and plasma guns, but no model no rules I guess.

Anyone cool with open play is probably cool with all kinds of house ruled stuff. IMO the only thing that really matters is if GW says x, y or z can be done in matched play. The Kill Team Command Roster is cool and all but the Death Guard roster is broken, it goes to a blank screen when i try and choose a Plague Champion.

I had the same issue with other units as well. Oh well, the Kill Team Manager app already does the same thing much, much better.

Probably not or GW would have just included everything into CSM. If I had to guess, I think GW is trying to make unique Kill Team 'factions' that allow a player to buy a boxed game and use the models in Kill Team as is. At the same time, not dramatically increasing the number of data sheets or stratagems for any one faction.

I guess it is kinda nice if you bought a boxed game and now have a couple of kill teams too. Seems kinda odd that there are going to be very general factions (i.e: Space Marines not say, Iron Fists) and very specific factions in Kill Team.

I think these are simple "we let you play our other games with these awesome minis too"-rules, just like the 40k rules they included in the Blackstone Fortress and Rogue Trader boxes. Not intended to change the competitive playing field at all, so (by GW's reckoning) there's no real need for the rules to be competitive or balanced either. Note that none of these rules can be used in tournaments unless specifically indicated by the tournament organizer.

If Kill Team lives long enough (and I hope so), and 40K codexes get updated with new units, we'll probably see updated rules for the "core" KT factions too, in which case the Blackstone Fortress Chaos units may be added to the proper Heretic Astartes faction.

All the factions in the core rules and Rogue Trader have that same wording. As mentioned, it's for those who prefer Narrative or Open Play to Matched.

The PDF states these rules are subject to revision in the future (for example, the Servants of the Abyss may well get more options when a new box set of Chaos marines or Beastmen comes out). The note about using them in tournaments is just a reminder - any tournament anywhere could choose to use any or some of the rules.

They don't share faction keywords, so they can't mix

Draik has both the "Astra Cartographica" and "Rogue Trader" keywords, which I suppose are shared with the Starstriders? He has the Adeptus Astartes, Astra Militarum, and Adeptus Mechanicus FACTION keywords, though, so outside of Open Play, he still cannot join the Starstriders. All the other explorers have no Rogue Trader-related keywords at all.

And that's really impressive because you've been playing 10 times longer than the concept of matched play has even been around!

Kill Zones Mechanicus and Munitorum are back in stock at Element and Wayland.

Munitorum especially is big news as it's been unavailable more or less since its original release wave and is a waaay better deal than the xmas terrain bundle with the same theme.

That is cool (but annoying in that I thought we might have some new rumours about Inquisitor!)

Of course you are still in the Fight phase. End phase in Kt it's the fixed point where nothing else can be done aside some abilities or strategems that just happens all at once and sequencing it's involved.

So, other than this Kroot Kill Team, is there any other news on the game? Looking at the GW web store half the kill zones sets are marked as no longer available and as far as I can see the starter box isn't even listed anymore. Have they given up on the game already? :(
