Update on the TMNT x Zombicide packs. Our internal stress test shows that the processing of orders will be incredibly slow. We've decided to move on to BackerKit to get the packs set up. We're pushing launch back to 2pm pacific time. Sorry for the delay, but it's the best way for us to make sure that we have a stable shopping cart that won't hang up while you're trying to purchase.

That listing confirms the miniatures came with cards for both the first and upcoming second edition of zombicide.

That’s the first I have heard about a second edition!

I wonder if they've change the cards to the small cards that fit in plastic dashboards then for 2nd edition.

From the contents it sounds like they have as lists 4 character cards and 4 character Dashboard ID cards.

Edit: more info...

Okay. This is likely to piss off quite a few people

The next game is Zombicide Evolution - Las Vegas. It’s coming to Kickstarter next year and it’s uses a special board, tablets and mobile phones to run the game. It’s a digital board game mix.

CMON and IDW Games are fusing their talents to bring Dragon Ball Z to the table top in 2020!

Leveraging IDW’s creative partnership with Toei Animation and CMON’s masterful work in game design and miniature production, Dragon Ball Z Miniature Mayhem will be a fast-paced, dice-driven, battle royale.

Players will get to create their dream “what if” showdowns as many of the iconic heroes and villains will face off against each other in an effort to determine who’s the strongest fighter in the universe. Stay tuned!

Trudvang Legends Kickstarter goes live on July 23, 3pm EST! Adventurers, wanderers and heroes needed! Are you in?

Will definitely be keeping my eye on this one as nice models, solo friendly and story telling gameplay (from memory, hopefully I am remembering correctly!).

Yaaaas!

Me too, I've been waiting for this one.

Also, DBZ game?! hmm... Well, that could be fun.

Digital Zombiecide though... well, not sure if I'm as pumped about that. I did notice on the page where you can buy the ninja turtle figures, it says they'll work for Zombiecide, and Zombicide 2nd ed. Not sure I knew they had made a 2nd ed. But then again, I don't pay as much attention to the modern day (or Sci-fi) Zombiecides.

They haven’t made a second edition yet. I thought they could be referring to Evolution but I am not convinced as that’s going digital rather than physical dashboards.

I'll likely pledge for the DBZ game if they make enough DBZ Abridged references.

I was able to get my set yesterday (with a very reasonable $5 US shipping!) and while they said that only 2000 sets would be available, it looks as if they've expanded that amount in order to just meet demand?

Good for them - and for anyone else who wanted them!

Nice. Wallet's going to take a hit on this one.

Here be Dragons

The Logiwurm is the greatest and most feared of all draconic beasts in Trudvang, and its coming speaks of sudden and horrible death.

According to someone who has promos the “second edition” cards in the TMNT sets are for Zombicide Invader not a second edition of modern Zombicide.

I saw them on the Zombicide invader facebook group and at least the discussion there is 2nd edition uses the same card and dashboard as Invader. The cards don't look like the invader cards from a design standpoint.

Wow, Trudvang looks spectacularly boring and a very skimpy initial offering. I know it will improve as time goes on, but sheesh, there isn't much to hook you here.
I'm afraid this looks like another "all the money is in cardboard" type of game.

Link for those interested (not one I ever had any interest in myself)

24 hour EB available for $90, the initial offering is quite sparse alright.

I see they finally revised their shipping estimates and I still think they are on the low side compared to what comes out in the PM.

All the minis have that flat oldschool-metal-model look. This seems like a step back for CMON.

Also, and this may be me being ignorant, but I don't get why they make a big deal over "Artwork by Paul Bonner" (The Mutant Chronicles guy) when they've apparently hired him to imitate Brian Froud. It feels a little bit like boasting about having Frank Frazetta art when you've told him to just make everything look like Larry Elmore art.

It doesn't seem like one that's really going to be a good source of minis if you don't want the game to go along with it

but that's not a bad thing for the gamers anyway as hopefully they've spent a bit more effort on the rules and ended up with something on the Blood Rage end of the spectrum rather than guilds of cadwallon

He's not doing all the art. Never has for the RPG either. There's like 3 main artists for the setting but he does all the cover art and most of the dwarfs and trolls. But he is the main face of the art for it and been involved since the begging of the setting (so like 10 years). Much like how Elmore was for D&D for a while.

They're saying $15 within the USA, but that's just for the core box, and they'll revise shipping charges as more content is added. Backers will pay *actual* costs. During the Bloodborne campaign, USA costs were double or triple this amount, and some internationals not near a shipping hub (?) paid as much as $100 or more.

Paul Bonner has been in the industry for decades, including Games Workshop in his earlier years. I guess he's not as well known as other artists because he's done such a variety of projects after GW? Dunno.

Some of them do seem like old school metal models, but I think the CG renders actually look much worse than the painted prints (obviously), and the unpainted ones they showed earlier this year. That said, some do seem like a bit of a step back, especially with posing, but perhaps they can adjust them before production.

To be fair, this doesn't seem that different from most of Paul Bonner's stuff. Though he did do stuff for Mutant Chronicles, his Confrontation, and Zombicide (and of course Trudvang) artwork, is much more current. And though I'm sure he's probably a Froud fan, it's never really felt like his fantasy stuff was 'imitating' him. At least, in my opinion. That would be a hell of a team up though. Bonner doing giants, dragons and Trolls, and Froud doing Elves, insects, & Fey folk.

Can't really speak to the game, as I have no interest in any of that. But I think most of the minis look good, and I hope we get plenty more, and some sort of art book for the game.

I've been picking up most of the art books CMON has released. The HATE one was especially nice as there were actually quite a few sketches and pieces even I hadn't seen (and I'd followed the comic idea since long before it actually was published).

This is one I'm going to snatch up an art book sight unseen. I'm sure it'll be a looker, and I doubt I'll be alone in that regard. Even if I don't end up with the game!

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

As a fan of Confrontation I love Paul Bonner's art, so I'm backing this one for sure.

Figured I'd do the classic move of backing the Early Bird now and waiting to see if I want it later. Pretty skimpy offerings so far, though I like that the miniatures/world at least has some character. Still imagine they're not going to offer that much more in stretch goals though and I'll drop it.

2ft Cthulhu from Death May Die turned up today. That’s going to be a hard one to sneak into the house. You don’t really appreciate how big it is from the photos.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. The day is still young, but the backer count is already negative for the day on Kicktraq.

~12k backers in 2 days is pretty impressive though...
