They’re donating new armies to those Hobbyists affected
There’s also a charity painting session being arranged, with any Twitch Bits generated going to relief funds.
Which is jolly nice of them.

I'll have to send some stuff their way. Good on GW, making me tear up with something other than their prices.

I think it's a pretty awesome move. I have models from over 20 years of gaming, and I would be pretty devastated to see all that time and creativity spent get destroyed. Good on them.

I wanna say that's an over-the-top comparison, but it's terribly accurate so...

Dunno. GW has been improving their PR lately and this basically cost them very little(the plastic is scale wise practically free). Considering good PR and retention of customers(I know I would likely drop out of hobby completely or at least GW models if I lost them all. Would be just too expensive to rebuild. However if I got playable army like this...Hook in again) doesn't seem that odd.
GW has finally learned how to do PR after Kirby era.

Fair play to them, it'll be good to replace at least some of the affected's collection, even though the sentimental value will be lost.

Sorry, Goldie. I'm not going to miss you.
