Early war French and plastic Italian infantry are two ranges that no one does in plastic and would sell like craaazzzyyy. Both are very expensive to build armies with metals only.

When we talk about WW1, we mainly think western front... forgetting the eastern part of war (Galicia, Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Siberia, Baltic shores...) and the great Revolution.
So, why not WW1 and Civil War Russians (c. 1914-1924) ? Soldiers with summer and winter uniforms ; regular and ethnic cossacks ; red, green (ukrainian anarchists) and white troopers and officers... Note that the french Adrian helmet could be used !
Why not WW1 austro-hungarian soldiers (mountain troops, for exemple, vs italian Arditi) ?
WA's Germans could be used as red "Spartakisten" vs "Freikorps" and "black Reichswehr"...

Kicking off this range will be Partisans, specifically French Resistance. The brave Resistance movement of occupied France fought the Nazis in every way they could, gradually becoming more organized and more effective as the war dragged on. Now you'll be able to model them in hard plastic and add them to your World War 2 battles!
This will be an extremely versatile kit. And there will be optional parts to allow you to use the set for other theaters and some previous conflicts (real and imagined) if you are so inclined.
We will have more to show as we get closer to the pre-order date but in the meantime check out Matthew Leahy's work on the prototype models. This set is in tooling and there is no official release date yet.

the newsletter also laid out what's going on with a variety of other stuff
Giant Spiders and Einherjar (along with Grognard restocks) will be in UK and US warehouses in the next couple weeks
Eisenkern plastic tooling wraps in the coming week for a December release
Grognard Command and Heavy Support plastic is finalized and preparing for production (we're just waiting on the final artwork and box design) also for a December release
These Partisans and another historical set are in tooling
Lizardmen and a third historical set will be in tooling as soon as the sprue layouts are finalized.
Eisenkern Panzerjägers are prepping for tooling
WW1 French will be previewed soon
Boxers, Spanish Napoleonics, "Space British", Afghan cavalry and another cavalry set, along with Goblins are all in various stages of layout or waiting for tweaks but are all on their way
Aztecs and Conquistadors are still in process
Five other sets are sculpted or mostly complete for sculpture and in the queue for early 2021
Concept artists are working on three new sci-fi and fantasy sets
There's quite a bit going on here at Wargames Atlantic and our goal is to both introduce new ranges and continue to add to the existing ones so that over time we build comprehensive, substantial ranges.
Classic Fantasy will see several more sets and Death Fields will gain new factions over the next few months. We will also be expanding on what we have in those ranges already (as we are doing with adding Command and Heavy Support to the Grognards - hint halflings, skeletons, Raumjäger, hint, hint).
First Empires has two new sets on the way. Blood Oaths has two in the works. Imperial Conquests is gaining several additions. The Great War range will continue to expand after the French. The third set for the Wars of Napoleon is being planned. And we're also excited to have more in the works for World Ablaze! And yes, we have at least one more historical range about to launch that we will show off this month.
In short: Can't stop, won't stop. Thanks for joining us on this plastic journey!
sounds like a spendy next year or two, bring it on

With so many goodies, I really hope they get a distribution centre in the EU.
Their multi box deals are way better than anything the retailers have in the region (most of the retailers also have an interesting conversion from US$ to €...).
Lets see how things progress.

As I said in an earlier post. Who knows what I'll be advance ordering in Dec 2021.
WA certainly seems to be a company interesting in finding ALL of the niche markets.
Now, come on, what are the Space British really called?
Oh damn... that teaser of the double "I" picture could mean Indian troops for the imperial conquest range... and I was just about to kitbash some... now I will have to wait to see what this is. I already bought all the stuff to kitbag afghan cavalry when WGA announced their versions. Can they read minds?

I know lord marcus but the real brexit is happening in December, after that it might as well come from the US, for the customs of my country it would make little difference, even worse than that if the UK keeps going without a trade agreement.

So... anything else you've had on your mind lately that we should know about?

Wait if they read your mind and we put our wish-lists in with you. perhaps they will come true posthaste?...
Seriously though some Indian lancers would be awesome and entirely suitable for WW1 Palestine and Euphrates campaigns with a little bit of work.

Wargames Atlantic has shown how to do a good versatile kit with the Grognards, so I'm confindent about that.
Assuming the have bare or wide-brimmed hat heads, the only real difference is likely to be weapons. I believe Mauser and Lebel rifles were pretty common basically everywhere in the 30s, and it's pretty hard to distinguish between pistols at 28mm scale, so a lot of their kit is likely to be good enough as is. Since the miniatures shown are wearing jackets, pretty much any WW2 uniform arms in the same scale can probably be put on them without it looking weird. With a touch of green-stuff to clean up those arm-bands, they will probably work fine for pulp-era gangsters / adventurers too.
Well one of the Wargames Atlantic guys commented on Facebook about the Aztecs/ conquistadors.
“ There are a lot of sets under development at present, some more ready than others. They can be delayed for many reasons - The sculptor is slow/busy, there are technical problems, the layout isn't working, or we are just unsatisfied with what would be produced. When we have a roadblock, we move on to the next set rather than delay everything. We then go back to the problematic set and work on fixing it.”
So it looks like there is a delay with them. So this means both the Aztecs and conquistadors had some kind of problem which caused a road block so they were passed over for the next set. Wargames Atlantic will then at some point go back to these “problems sets” in the future and fix them. Not the best news but some news is better than no news. At least we know now.

VIVE LA RÉSISTANCE ! While I really do not have a need for them, I may get a box. And if you want some historical resistance personalities to lead the WA partisans, there's Nancy Wake and Simone Segouin aka Nicole Minet.
And now a Resistants or Partisans-line : that's a very bright initiative. Just one thing to add : "Chapeau bas, messieurs (Hats off, gentlemen) !"
"Le Chant des Partisans" (music : Anna Marly ; lyrics : Joseph Kessel and Maurice Druon) remains the non-official french hymn, living symbol of the glorious women and men fighting, ON THEIR OWN, for liberty. Free citizens in arms.
Could be interesting to create a kind of extension to make southern and eastern partisans (Yougoslavia, Italy, Greece, and Poland, Bielorussia and Soviet Union) : heads, weapons...

As one of the people involved with these sets, I can say we are trying to iron out the issues. That's about it for what I can say though.
Trust me, I want them too.

I'd imagine that not having anything to cover the shoulders make it a lot harder to come up with a true multipose kit that doesn't look rubbish (for the Aztecs)
shoulder pads (or jackets) mean you can be a lot more flexible about how you pose things

@lord marcus: the UK shipment was supposed to dock today with the spiders and dwarves?
Was that the case?
Just wondering if they will start shipping in the next few days.
