Ehh... any wargaming company can overpromise and underdeliver. WGA is awesome but they do seem to have a lot of stuff in the planning or pre-production stage.

I prefer to buy from miniature manufacturers that *don't* support the overthrow of democracy.

The conquistadors are shaping up well. Theyll make a great basis for a Marcus Wulfheart themed empire army. Heres hoping they get some sort of artillery and cavalry sprue down the line. As I plan on buying 5 or 6 boxes to make a nice themed empire force

That's true, their stuff does take a lot of time to relase a teased product sometimes.

I think that may be because they are more transparent about their production process than a lot of other companies.

And much of their development has been done with Chinese partners during COVID so delays are to be expected.

Even Victrix has had some delays.

I'm fine with the long-ish release times. It's not like a Kickstarter where they already have our money.

In what relates to the huge amount of heads for the female cannon fodder, I think you should keep in mind that often they remove or add stuff in later stages of development, based on what fits or doesn't fit on the sprue in the end, so the final head selection might be smaller.
For example, since there seem to be 6 bodies, you would likely have 6 heads of each type per sprue in theory.
I hope they keep some of the more varied hair styles, as most manufacturers that actually make female heads for 28mm tend to use a very small amount of repetitive hair styles.

I might make some mixed gender ship crew when this set comes out, whenever that is.

I love that Wargames Atlantic encourages this artist to explain his design decisions… now chariots for Warring States China.

It's certainly the largest thing thus far! I'm genuinely excited, i wonder if it'll just be one per box.

with 4 horses and 3 crew per chariot, i could see 2 per box.

though 3 might not be out of the question.

Not a period I was interested in... but I am warming up to getting some of these sets.

Not fussed by how many per box, but it for sure will be more pricy than regular historical chariots, I'd say it needs 2 different sprues.

Quite an interesting kit for the likes of KoW too, standing in for a whole Chariot Troop (100x100 mm)

Wow what a opener for the warring states. Really cool and a really nicely accurate design.

As i recall they sorta got put out of date with the invention and mass deployment of crossbows among the soldiery. Those massive wheels were apparently really quite decemt over rougher ground. Conversions regarding pots of quicklime(recorded being used to quell riots and revolts among the pesantry in ancient China) or in fantasy it as a mobile platform for mages would be pretty cool.

Today's news article had the full conquistador sprue plus the mini sprue (sprue B). I just photoshopped sprue B's front and back together.

Are the heart shields flat or do they curve to some degree like a Roman shield?

Hard to tell, but they look flat on the back, The shield arm has the flat half-forearm like in the Fireforge northmen shield arms.

Revisiting the Dust discussion from a few pages back - having now bought several thousand dollars of dust minis, it would be great if WGA licensed the rights to those minis and could put them back into production in kit form. These minis are fantastic, some of the best on the market, and from discussion with Paolo it seems the issue wasn't that they weren't generating sales, but rather that he wasn't able to produce them and ship them to market.

Oh please! I wanted modular robots more than anything else on the bracket/survey by a mile.
If these are good at all, I'll get too many.
