Great stuff Paradigm.

I am way behind and feeling the pressure because the Exorcist was such a pain to build and I am not feeling the painting joy yet.

Cheers,

Almost forgot to post my Proof Pic: Here you go

Just a simple one with no really conversions for me this month despite my wanting to do something crazy (mad even)

What I really wanted to do this month was create an Ork Wacky Racers/Catch the pigeon vehicle but because I won't have the time I'll paint it in the style of dick dastardly's mean machine as a tribute, if I really have some free time I'll try to create a grot Mutley

I primed my AT-ST grey, and I've spent all day today - literally the whole day - painting it a different shade of grey. I feel a bit like Rimmer when he has the scutters repaint all the corridors of Red Dwarf from Ocean Grey to Military Grey.

Progress on Eldrad. Settles on the midnight blue for his robe and "black" portions of this armor.

lets see.. no blurry this time..

ugh can see where I need to refine the blues on the front of the robe.. still to stark and not as smooth as on the side.

Minor update experimenting with the new contrast paints.

The two guys with Zandri Dust base (wraithbone for the singer, flesh for the tech). Over that a glaze of Darkoath Flesh contrast. (scroll up for before picture)

Drybrush with Bleached Bone.
Overall pretty happy. Good flow, nice tint, like the shade. Drybrush really brings it home. Quick, easy good.

Blood Angel Red is still wet here. Mostly over a Khrone Red base, although the sash is an older Blood Red. Not expecting much over dark bases.

I checked it out after it dried for a bit. Some nice subtle shade, but will need more aggressive highlights to get it where I’d like it. But results fall into line of what I thought they would be.

Getting there... I think I'm happy with the armour now so onto the details.

I feel like I've aged 5 years doing these guys obsessively... Keep finding things wrong with them but ultimately because of the magnets and such I'm deciding to call it a day and put a stop to pouring any more of my time into these fellas. *sigh*

Anyway, these constructs have the spirits of fallen Eldar warriors transplanted into them so that they can serve in death and keep in fighting. Thats some weird science for sure!

I've done a bit more to the master of the forge,
I have tried to go for a Borg skin complexion, still need to do the servo harness.

Will post a WIP when I get back from work

I got distracted by my loft raiding last month and all those early 90s plastic beaky marines are starting to look like passable grey hunters and bloodclaws. But who is going to fix their land raider?

This guy!
Once he’s salvaged the ferrous meteorite for raw materials. (This is a genuine chunk Of meteorite from my local space museum shop).

Thats an awesome looking base. What did you use as the source material for cork?
I seem to only have acess to 1/4" sheet of cork from my local scale model/train shop...

Go to any discount/home bargains shop and you can get Cork placements for a couple of quid.

I'm starting to kick myself for picking white as the main color, can't seem to make the layers smooth. I might be trying to find another model I can use. Or just deal with the fact that this isn't going to be my greatest of works.

Depending on what kind of white you are after I find pallid Wych flesh covers really well and smooth.

Cheers.
I have a roll at home but mine is really fine grain cork if that makes sense. I'm on a hunt for more chunky variety. Will keep checking discount stores. There aren't many where I live though.

A late start to this month on my part, my painting mojo has been pretty drained. I'm painting up a couple (or one, I never manage to paint more than one model for this challenge) of rogue psykers from Blackstone Fortress. (Sorry for the crap picture)

"At what point does magic become mad science, and mad science become normality?"

Also Argive, those wraithblades are sweet!

QAR that ad mech/tyranid kitbash is awesome!

Nev I wanted to do something Eldar but I don't think I can compete against the mad science of a bonesinger!

Any suitably advanced science becomes indistinguishable from magic. And vice versus. Mad science is that fun stuff right on the line. Lots of cool looking models in that BSF box, looking forward to seeing paint on those. Good luck finding the motivation. I know I’ve been shy on it myself lately.

There is plenty of Eldar you could do if you wanted, no worries about competing with me. I’m just here to serve as a baseline to make the rest of you look good in comparison! Does feel nice to get that bonesinger done though. How long ago was he Made to Order? Kinda afraid to look. Not like he’s close the the longest thing waiting for paint on the bench...

Progress:

Bonesinger is done. Tech is almost there. He needs highlights and he axe/backpack done. (plus basing and all that). Hope to finish him this weekend.

Nice job on the singer. I always enjoy seeing pointy ears come to life :( Need to do my singer soon.

Calling these finished. Brotherhood of Steel squad.

I tried the sponge technique for the first time on the armour, reasonably happy with it but I should have invested in some ryza rust rather that using fire dragon bright.

As always feedback is welcome and appreciated.
