A company out of Hong Kong, kidslogic, will be making a new line of Robotech (yes, Robotech - looks like they partnered with Harmony Gold) miniatures in 1/285 scale. Looks like they will be resin, and around $10 a figure. Preview is veritech in each of its three modes.

Was the Palladium games game good enough to use for the rules?

I'm good on Veritechs. I hope they hit some of the more obscure minis, like Ghosts, Gnerls, FPA, Lancers, etc.. I'll go bananas if they make some Invid minis.

I bought a second starter set a while agai and think I still have everything from it rules-wise. (I may have used a card or two as bookmarks, but might be able to find them.). I'd be happy to send them to you if you pay for shipping.

Screw Harmony Gold. They've done nothing meaningful with the franchise in over a decade (and even that one attempt with Shadow Chronicles was half assed) and, more importantly, they did nothing for four years while Palladium screwed over thousands of their own customers only acting in the last year behind the scenes to help a bit. The minis look nice but, after 30 years of fandom, I'm finally over Robotech thanks to all that.

They were too busy suing Piranha Games, Inc. and Harebrained Schemes to do much to help...

Now if those were Macross, particularly Macross: Frontier I'd be all over those. But Robotech? Ain't nobody got time for that anymore.

Speak for yourself. I'd gladly pick up some if they filled out all of the unfulfilled promises of Siembeda's garbage.

You'd need a game to go with them, but that's easy enough to write.

Anything to do with HG can burn and die as far as I'm concerned.

Yes, the rules are pretty fun.

I am particularly looking forward to some Zentraedi armor as Palladium never got around to it.

They are probably the original molds that Ninja Division wanted to use for the Robotech Tactics Kickstarter...
But Kevin wanted to compete with Games Workshop...

I feel the same.. I am done with anything Robotech... it lives in my memory..

Pros: Those look really good, much better than the Palladium sculpts.

Cons: F*** Harmony Gold.

This. Macross moved on quite a lot since the hack job that Robotech is appeared, I really wish there were wargame-scale models of newer Valks out there (and Vajra ideally, space bugs are always nice )

This. Too little, too late, too much "feth HG" in me to even consider buying.

OTOH, if HG ever wants to make right by me, even if through a different company, they already know my address.

Well the renders look good. I have some of the Tactics sprues but these look like they will have nicer poses so I might be tempted to pick up a couple.

But... it's still Robotech. What I wouldn't give though to see stuff like the Invid, Vajra, or Protodevlin on the tabletop.

Which will sadly never happen.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Now that (somehow) HG has reacquired the rights for Robotech and the Macross trademark for outside Japan, I'd say chances of anything at all about any of the (ton of) newer Macross series are not gonna happen.

And honestly, now that CGL seems to be getting into the minis wagon (crossing fingers here), that's all I could have been interested in. Harmony Gold can go feth itself, and any company that gets in cahoots with them should have checked before jumping in.

Harmony Gold is a wonderful company, and I'm glad that they secured another 35 year license for Robotech. Superior in every way to the original series it is based on, especially Macross, which hasn't produced a good sequel to itself in twenty-four years.

Models look great, and at ten bucks a pop for high quality resin figs, blow Iron Wind Metals outta the water.

"...and special thanks to Judgedoug!" - Alessio Cavatore "Now you've gone too far Doug! ... Too far... " - Rick Priestley "I've decided that I'd rather not have you as a member of TMP." - Editor, The Miniatures Page "I'd rather put my testicles through a mangle than spend any time gaming with you." - Richard, TooFatLardies "We need a Doug Craig in every store." - Warlord Games "Thank you for being here, Judge Doug!" - Adam Troke

If they scale properly with BattleTech minis they'd sell well as proxies for the Unseen....
