I managed to finish off the terrain I have been working on. Now I just have to sit down and glue it together.

Then onto painting some more gloomspite gitz.

If I can finish painting all of my assembled but not painted models. Then I will consider this pandemic to be a success. lol.

Haha, thanks all! It does feel strange coming home and not having anything to work on. Eventually I'll pick up a new kit but I'm going to enjoy the feeling for a couple of days. I like the pile of fame.

Well don't wait too long & be very careful during those couple of days as without unpainted stuff you're no longer immortal.

I’ve finished painting 2 more minis and built 20 more today. That clears 3 boxes off the pile, 10 raptors built and then 10 Chaos Chosen made from CSM with some Raptor parts because Lightning Claws look cool and the Plasma squad may actually be useful.

The battle continues.... I will be selling off a bunch of necrons and Dark Eldar (Druchari as I guess they're called) that I never got around to using.... Might keep some of the characters as I love to paint them.

Gotten more details on some vehicles finished while getting almost all of my BT HQ repainted or painted for the first time.

Grey Knights being converted to Templars (shhhh don't tell the inquisition)

I got 8 bases of Light Infantry and Skirmishers for my 6mm Diadochi army painted and based. Now I just need to finish painting the bases.

So, I'm kinda making progress.

I have only painted three minis so far this year, so my PoS has not appreciably shrunk, but I haven't bought anything at all so far, so neither has it grown at all.

Currently have sixteen minis primed, based and staring at me.

Eight Fallout Survivors, and those @$%# things were a whale scrotum sitting on my soul. I'm sooo glad to have them off my plate.

I also carefully cut five kit-bashed Primaris characters off 32mm bases and glued them onto 40mm bases so they stand out better. It's not modeling for advantage if they're supposed to be on a bigger base.

I never knew such a thing was possible? That has to be a record, we gamers tend to have an ever growing back log of projects.

During the lockdown I have had some free time to get back into painting. Roughly half way through my Kings of War Mongolian force,. Once that project is finished, I'll be 1 third the way through my current projects.

Well I sold a decent amount of items and really figured out what I wanted to keep, and had been furiously painting since January to get it all done.

Going to try very hard to stick to one box at a time method once I figure out what I want to get next!

Ya just gotta keep at it and try to stamp out the buying. It's hard, for sure!

My terrain is officially glued and painted. it's all for real complete now. My FLGS opens today so hopefully, I can buy a new small layer brush and get back to painting my goblins.

I managed to base 8 bases, but now have to paint them.

Mother's Day kinda cramped my style as I couldn't paint all day.

I have worked through so much of my back log right now, im (Mostly) as stuff that is a year-2 years old and not even primed haha.
Im so close.

Finished up my MonPoc backlog but decided I was a little light on Martians and shamefully added a bit more to the pile. In the meantime though I put in some significant work on my Malifaux backlog, getting the new Guild stuff done to keep that fully painted and having just a few models left to be done with the miners stuff (M&SU and Foundry).

I have a bad habit of burning myself out on Malifaux, so I'll probably take a bit of a break to do some Batman and perhaps finally catch up on my Guild Ball teams.

Well, I thinned out a bunch of minis. I then turned around and added one Untamed Beasts band, 2 Greater Daemons, 1 SC S2D and BoK box, 6 Varanguard, 7 BoK minis and a Darkoath Queen to convert Valkia.

Total: ~300 models out (18 metal fiends, 19 flesh hounds, Glottkin, 150 Space Marines, Vortex Beast, Heldrake, Forgefiend, Coteaz, Ral Partha mini, Aleguzler Gargant, Ghorgon, 60 WoC, furies, screamers, nurglings, Blightkings, Maggoth Lord and 6 Batman minis.

56 models in. And over a grand in sales.

Finished 8 genestealers.
Souldrain forest still NOS from my original pile.

Bought oathmark goblin box and their wolf riders box.
Also deep cuts giant eagle, catapult and bolt thrower.

My pile is now 44 goblins smaller.

So far: 44 finished out of the weeks goal of about 90.

Finished another 5 Intercessors. This would have left me just 5 Hellblasters and a Repulsor unfinished in my Marine collection, but I bought another box of Eliminators.

4 60x60mm Skirmishers bases and 4 60x60mm Light Infantry bases for my 6mm Diadochi armies.....



Only 6 more bases of Phalanxes and two bases of Elephants left to go.

Finished my first squad of five Seekers, starting to feel like I'm getting my groove back after that Fallout commission.

Honestly though, I'm probably not going to break 40 this month. And I definitely won't next month because The End is in sight. I have 18 models in progress and another 32 in the pipe (50 in total) although admittedly that includes a Keeper of Secrets, a Seeker Chariot, a Repulsor Executioner, and a Chaos Knight. If it wasn't for the CK I'd be pretty confident of finishing the whole pile before July 1st.

Fun aside; I found the Plague Marine half of the Know No Fear box hidden away in my closet. The moment I realized it added 17 models to my Pile of Shame it went straight up for sale on my local group's buy-n-sell page, and I sold it almost as fast as I realized I had it.

[edit] Sadly I spoke too soon. Probably still never going to paint those Plague Marines, but they'll be a black mark on my Pile-of-shame record until I figure out what to do with them. [/edit]

Legit question.
How does one just, forget about models they own? and where they are?
I can tell you where every single unit i own is and its state of painting.
But i have friends that somehow lose models, like big FW models, then find them a year later.
how does that......happen? How do you just forget you have models?

Also, 3 more FW custode dreads crossed off the list.
Next up the terminators and Palas,
Then i have 2 knights, a fire raptor, reivers, shadowsun, for 40k
A bit more for SW legion but thats it!!!!

If you don't know, you don't own enough models.....

A more serious answer though;
I used to get things in mixed lots, & trades that after I sifted out what I wanted I didn't have any immediate use for the rest. So it gets 1) inventoried, 2) sorted into storage containers - WHFB Orcs/Goblins, Eldar, misc SM stuff, 15mm WWII British tanks., etc 3) largely forgotten about*.
If I later use/trade/sell something out of the containers then I pull up the file & delete it.
I've still got about 7 such containers on the shelf in my basement.
Same thing happens sometimes when you're at shows/conventions/etc - you see something that's too good a deal to pass on but you've got no actual plans for (yet) (there's some sealed boxes of Necron vehicles in storage atm.

*So unless I look through the containers or pull up the inventory files? I couldn't tell you exactly what all's down there on the storage shelf. I can tell you I've not forgotten any Fw though.
