Great mini.

Gakky that Sam isn't included when you need him for what they directly state is the intended scenario for this mini.

It'd really have broken the bank to fit Sam on there as well, let's be reasonable.

I hope it's not an 80mm base! If it is, I'll pass.

Hopefully we see an appropriately armed Sam coming with Ugluk and Grishnak in a similar release

You probably mean Gorbag and Shagrath

Shelob incoming:

https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/dcuclxww/sunday-preview-angron-transfigured-stares-down-the-new-skitarii/

And strangely, the resin Swan Knights are back, but being treated like a new release? Do like the Cirith-Ungol dice however.

I was expecting an updated Frodo and Sam announcement before this release, assuming they would be the heroes of the new journal campaign?

All the same I'm looking forward to it.

Surely you can find black dice with a spider for more reasonable pricing than GW's...
Shelob is really nice, and I don't miss Sam as I have one already, but it somehow sucks if you don't.

Actually these dice look pretty cool, I bet they will sell out fast too.

Hm, didn't recognize that Sam in the first pic initially. Thought it might have been a stealth reveal until the hair gave away it's metal.

Agreed, those are nicely designed dice. Similar to what you'd imagine painted on an Orc banner, simple straightforward and legible colours, while not being boring to look at.
As for their availability, have any recent dice not sold out quickly? I didn't think the recent beige Dunland dice with the stylised crow/crebain would be super popular (no iconic design, and unsure how popular the army is even with new plastics?), but I still found it impossible to purchase from GW on release day (thankfully found a store that could secure 3 boxes on pre-order; love me some corvids).

Those dice came back for a second round on the main store, strangely enough.

So far I've been able to get all GW dice sets I wanted, no matter if 40K, ME, Old World or AoS from retailers, sometimes a couple of weeks in.

Prices are decent.

Dice-wise they sell out almost as fast the Kill Team box sets. Right now I can get the Tribesmen set, but the Rohan ones went straight away.

The real question is...

Where is the miniature for Braga, Captain of Laketown Guard?

Good question.

So far they've had a journal each for WOTR and LOTR. I'm guessing that the next one will be for The Hobbit, and if so he might be an accompanying release.

New MTO:

Including the Amon Hen, Amon Súl scenery and the original metal Three Hunters.

Never gonna play the game. But I am tempted by those terrain pieces.

Both terrain pieces are chonky, and I fear the price tags involved.

Well I'll be in for the 3 hunters, that's for damn sure. Can never find them for a good price 2nd hand anywhere. Thankfully I've got all the other sets.

I'd love to get my hands on both those terrain sets, but I can't imagine they'll be priced anywhere near sanely. Not least because they're FW.

Well if memory serves, Amon-Súl was over £300 the first time round and Amon-Hen was just under £200.

I already have all those kits. In fact I still have the Ambush at Amon-Hen in the original box.

I'd be tempted by the terrain if I wasn't so sure it would cost my First Born.

Man, I would LOVE to add that terrain to my collection.

I bet it’ll be at least $600 for both pieces, though.

One of them filthy casuals...

The real question is, will they ever find a way to do a MTO of the Helms Deep and Minas Tirith fortresses?

Because good luck A) Finding one. B) Finding the other. or C) Getting it for not 10x the actual price.

I know it'll not happen as they were polystone and not resin. But damn, a man can dream.

I think Weathertop was about £400?

As majestic as it is, I'd have to go the route of DIY on this one.

I see the Minas Tirith for 449 good boy points (612 US dollars) on ebay, not sure what it cost at release but that's... a lot.
