Did anyone read The Cleansing Light short story on WHC? It clearly looks like a setup for the Engine War part of PA.

Yes we all agree its poor writing. Yes we all think Ghaz is cool. But putting down the guy you don't like (Ragnar, not me, put me down all you like, its the internet I don't take it personal) isn't going to change it. Nor is it going to change the fact that Ragnar isn't some random ass Captain. He clearly is a match for Ghaz, at least in the fluff. You don't like it, we get it.

I would look forward to read about the second meeting. However I'm sure the writing will be just as bad and the final results just as ambiguous.

I wonder if Fabius is going to be in a PA book, or just one of the first releases post Awakening.

That's possible too, since Dark Age technology, which this might be, is so incredibly powerful that there is often no way to describe it but in religious terms, even by the usual AdMech standards.

Could this be an Emperor's Children release?
Are Necrons going to be in this too?

I doubt it'll be tied to EC at all, since Bile's acting on his own (he doesn't even have the Emperor's Children keyword last I checked)

And while he traditioinally acts alone, so did Ahriman for example (even more than act alone, he was actively hunted and enemy-No.-1, shoot-on-sight, even ally-with-Space-Wolves-to-kill-that-guy-if-you-have-to for all the other Thousand Sons), yet was folded into Thousand Sons for 8th. I wouldn't be surprised if Fabius get's a similar treatment.

Though Psychic-Awakening-wise, CSM (including Emperor's Children) was done with Faith & Fury. Unless they start double-dipping factions, maybe Fabius is for some reason currently merc-ing with some Death Guard? Seems like the only Chaos Faction not out yet. Or they throw in a new Fabius mini into a random PA about Necrons vs. Deathwatch or some such (which will surely delight players of those factions, if they don't get a mini )

except Ragnar isn't some no name character. he's literally one of the oldest eistablished characters in 40k. featuring in at LEAST 7 novels. and I'm pretty sure he's appered in numerous short stories etc. frankly if someone has to defeat Ghaz it needs to be someone of ragnar's stature.

Though than you'd hope they go back and add things like new WL-traits and relics to Craftworlds, any kind of new strats, relics, WL traits, etc.. to Drukhari, some from of WL traits or Relics to GSC, anything really to Ynnari, etc.. and plug all those holes in all PA, which would probably make the PA series quite a bit longer than expected.

I'm going to laugh if War of the Spider is literally just that - a book with all the "shortchanged" (only in quotations because CSMs did actually get quite a bit) factions planned ahead of time as an attempt to sell 2 books to everyone involved.

Honestly I don't think it'll be an EC update proper since Bile isn't in the EC anymore and works more as a free agent, but we'll see. Fingers crossed for some Gland Hound rules.

Wasn't the hole new man Project basically take normal humans ,improve them to Lead rebbelllions and Make them dangerous enough to kill astartes?
