Fancy black saber macguffin is a call back to TCW and Rebels.
It IS *THE* darksaber. That moff with it, was AT the sacking of Mandalore (when the empire took over).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

I really hope the Boba appearance is a red herring to throw fans off, and all we really get is like, a brief shot of Boba hosting a Mandalorian cooking show. “Stir, whip! Stir, whip! Whip, whip, stir!”

Quite. And thus my comment that the show had been rather self contained right until that moment.

That’s a fair point. Whilst I’d hope for more than a simple cameo, the Mando shouldn’t be supplanted as the lead in his own show, nor should Cara Dunne et al be sidelined, because they’ve an established rapport.

Cara serves as combat support, and overall tactics etc. Unlike the Mando, she’s a veteran warrior of the Rebellion and Republic. So she brings a different perspective on things. This is of course important for exposition.

Greef Karga similarly offers things to the trio, being arguably more knowledgable about the underworld, and may have as yet unseen contacts to call on.

We saw Ahsoka used well in Rebels, where she supported but never supplanted the main cast. The story remain their own, she just added different perspectives. Same with Rex and even Hondo.

The only mistake they’ve made in my opinion was bumping off Asajj Ventriss, who was superb. They killed her off in a Clone Wars ‘wrap up’ novel which remains canon. Worst, she died for mangst.....mangst for a character barely seen in the Clone Wars series. Booooo!
