Nope.

But that's *entirely* because she doesn't fit into the aesthetics of any of my IG armies.

I mean, if I owned one I imagine I'd use it. Looks like it could make for a reasonable Catachan officer.

However, I'm afraid it's not the sort of model I'd go out and buy specially.

What's with the baggy pants and one kneepad?

I'd pass. Besides the last thing I need is more laspistol and chainsword guardsmen. Give me a decent plastic plasmagunner not in the command squad box anyday.

IDK, but I would suggest this thread get moved, since it's clearly just promoting a model, and not about 40k.

I think it's a decent model, but I don't really understand why the knee pad isn't on the knee.

Yes. Assuming she is priced sensibly (including P&P).

I think she's intended to fit with the Tallarn aesthetic. Hence the keffiyeh and the vaguely Arabic/Persian name.

No fan of that hanging kneepad, looks inpractical. Tighten that up and maybe.

Upper torso and head look great, lower half is a mess. Hard pass from me. Also, if she is a higher officer, give her a plasma pistol

Looks like she’d welcome me to a themed restaurant, so yes. I would like some Catachan Hot Wings.

Although the way the title is phrased demands a reference to Goodbye Horses.

"Would you field her?"

Well, i must admit i've never heard it called that before.

Ok, i agree with what most of my brothers here have been saying, the upper half is great, the lower half not so much. Is that a loincloth? Over pants? Well, Ok, 40k so maybe some fools wear a loincloth over pants because it's 'turdishun" and if you don't you're a "hairy tick". So I could let a loincloth over pants go except it looks like the loincloth is melting into the pants if that is what it is. I like the boots and knee pad both are detailed and good.

EDIT: OK, it's jsut some creasing in the pants that seem a little too...extreme. smoothen it out a little please.

If I ran an army of the many, the nameless, the disposable yes i might get this figure if she didn't cost more in total than a gw figure and if she had arm options. I'd buy her even if she was the same cost as a gw fig just to let gw know do we have options.

I'd recommend a bolt and plasma pistol option and a powersword option, possibly a powerfist. at least one head, with ornate hat or helmet, would be good.

Also, even with the loincloth(?) issue i think at several feet away and when she's 28mm tall it's not an issue. On my screen she's like 6" and i'm like a foot tall so it really shows.

All in all good job, I even liked the bionic arm.

One thing: How did an apparently human skull get embedded in what is apparently a solid rock? Teleporter accident?

Kind of? Looks like an odd Tallarn/Cadian/Catachan hybrid outfit.

First - love the concept of your company - 40K desperately needs good female miniatures.

Second - the above example is a strong start, but as others have pointed out, could use a little polish before prime time.

Tighten up the lower half of the mini, and I'd certainly purchase it.

I generally like the look and personally don't mind the "pants". Only small thing would be the kneecap as others said it should be a bit higher.

Would I field her, if I had her? Definitly yes.
Would I buy her as separate mini: to be honest, only if she is cheap
Would I buy her as sergant in a box of similar styled infantry: then yes.

Interesting model. I have to echo the other critics on the issues with the model. The biggest being that the model is labeled 3-Star General but looks like a fancy Sergeant. Nothing about the model says Officer of any sort.

Ok, ghawd forbid I bring up 'realism" in 40k, but to play amanojaku here and do just that, in most real militarys officers do not wear distinctive uniforms that make them obvious targets for snipers. Also, saluting an officer in the field is usually not done as it marks the officer as a target to snipers. (in fact in vietnam incompetent and unpopular officers were often saluted, sometimes behind their backs, in the field because the soldiers under them hoped a sniper would pick him off.

Now I know in 40k leaders wear huge distinctive outfits and marks of rank that basically are giant neon 'SHOOT ME!!" signs to snipers and marksmen, mostly, because 'It's the rool of cule!" Ironically the alpha legion is the one outfit in 40k I can think of off the top of my head than eschews such foolishness, in the background it even says that newbies are often forced to wear prominent uniforms to distract enemy attention from the real leaders who wear armor looking similar to the standard trooper.

So, while i had problems with the pants I do not have a problem with her not parading about in an ostentatious sniper magnet uniform. In fact I commend the designer for this simple logical choice.

No, I don't think so.

*Top half looks good. Could probably fit with several regiments.

-
*Bottom half is a mess with the baggy "pants" and weirdly positioned (one?) knee-pad.
*Her weaponry is pretty... lame. A Chainsword and Laspistol...yay? Give her something to make her stand out, right now she just looks like a regular sergeant and not like any higher officer.

In the dark future of the 41st Millennium, there is the Galactic code to uphold. It clearly states in Section 2.3 that all leaders and specialist must be clearly distinguishable from line troops. This can be due to size, species, equipment, or fancy decorative elements.

First off; solid clickbait thread title, credit for that.

To answer the question; no, I would not. I don't play Guard.

What do I think about the quality of the miniature? Well by the thread title that would be a bit off topic, wouldn't it?

It's a bit rough around the edges, but for my tastes it has loads of character. I also like the pants, maybe not the most combat sensible but it's something I haven't seen before. I wouldn't make an army out of models like this but one or two to protect an inquisitor could be nice.

I'm not really digging the aesthetic of the figure, and the placement of the pad is odd. But single kneepads are fairly common in the military on actual deployment. You only typically need one to 'take a knee' so don't bother with one on your standing leg. They are a bit restrictive on leg movement. This is one of the reasons why the fancy Crye trousers with in-built knee pad sections are popular among SF and SOF elements of militaries across the world as it provides good protection with no trade-off on movement restriction.

No, its not very good.

If I was going to field anything like that, I would use the GW Catachan girl. Much better.

Only if they paid me for every match/turn it’s on the table.

Like every other third party guard mini, it’s a pretty bad sculpt and doesn’t fit in any official guard range.

Not really, looks like any catachan model to me to be honest, doesn't stand out that much. Maybe, might if i owned a catachan army and this model doesn't cost an arm but still doubtful.
