I don't know if it's too late, but I got a squad of spooky scary skeleton robots that need stripping and painting.

Thanks! Small stuff is IIRC the gale force 9/army painter grass, and then army painter tufts glued in among them.

Would it be too tenuous to paint something in a colour we mini painters are generally terrified of - the dreaded yellow?

And QAR dropping WIP work that half the people in this thread would love to have as finished...

Kind of a weird Mr Bean-ish look on that guy's face, but the paint job is great.

Haha damn now I can't un see that! I was unsure what to do for his eyes.. he has big googly eyes, so I went with a small pupil to get that opiod drugged out look. Maybe I'll change it to something else.

Deranged Necron Destroyer

Well I didn't think I'd get around to entering this month, but I think I have a fun kit I can put together over the weekend: what's scarier than a ghost ship? Well naturally, a ghost spaceship, of course. But what's scarier than that, is a ghost space ship decloacking off of your starboard nacelles and unleashing a hail of disrupter fire.

Proof of Pic:

My painting log is full of snakes

Evil-D, that base looks great. Can't wait to see the cupboard monster creeping out of it.

Josh, the glow looks good. Nice work.

Don Q, A Ghost Romulan Warbird?! Brilliant!

Queen Anne, I've been following your work on instagram. Looking fantastic.

Mobilesuit, the murder tree looks incredible.

Modock, it's interesting that Ariadna switches hands when he becomes the werewolf. Those are nice sculpts, though.

Ms07b3, Lilith looks great. That's a heck of a pose to take while wearing a thong, though.

Captain, Goliaths are fun and ugly. Fugly?

Pariah, enjoying the progress on the Wolfen.

maxwin, the lighting and glow effects you produce are what originally drew me to your work. The detail you produce is fantastic, but such realism from the glowing torches, suits, swords, etc. is over-the-top.
Be'lakor's lava pool is no exception.

So much other great stuff to comment on, but I'll wrap it up with a new proof pic.
If I actually finish anything, it'll more likely be this than my first entry.

A gs-sculpted Ghost Rider on a Matchbox motorcycle for Gaslands. I swear I had a picture of his flaming skull around here somewhere . . .

OK, finally got my lightbox out for the pics. Nothing special, just some more spooks to lurk in the darkness in the back of the bookshelf. Getting close to the end if the Soulwars box. Another couple Octobers and I’m going to have to paint something new. Of course, I still have some hexwraiths and skeletons kicking around. Should be good until 2025.

If I actually played, there might be more of a dive, but they do make for a nice seasonal pallet cleanser on the paintbench.

Edit:
OP updated to this point. Remember the month is winding down, one week to go. Time to get the lead out. Literally, for some of this month’s entries. I don’t know if Para has any ideas in mind for next month, but if anyone has any suggestions for a November topic, might as well toss them up here.

Wow Evil-D185, that base is pure awesomeness!

Some more progress:

Decided to build a small graveyard for this month's theme.
My plans might have been a bit too ambitious for a late(ish) entry, but I'm doing my best.

Even though it's mostly a terrain piece / display board, I hope it's sufficient.
I'll try to hide a couple of skeletons here and there as actual models

EDIT:
@Nevelon: I accidentally deleted my proof pic from the hosting site (uploaded it twice, ended up removing the wrong one )
I edited my initial post and linked it in the spoilers as well. Sorry for the trouble.

Probably not finishing the big beast in time. Lots of family issues plaguing the last two weeks and the hands and axes need reprinting. That part alone with the fact my printer is down will wipe any chance out.

Finished the Mourngul. This is a surprisingly difficult model to photograph because of the way it angles. Yikes. Also, WITNESS THEM BRUSH STROKES!

Experimented with a really simple, cool blood effect that I'm absolutely in love with (Tamiya Candy Red + VMC Black), and I need to find more ways to use it!

Yes that is an old trick add glue, something like UHU and you can make great blood droplets or strings of blood with it

Nice work as always DV8 that blood does look better than the GW stuff.
I am almost done too. Need to finish up the black and red then sort the bases out.
Not my finest work but my mate will be pleased with them and i blame the half assed pvc sculpts. I mean look at the six pack on the warrior dude, those squares pretty much wrap right around the torso, its like the sculptor has never seen a naked human torso before.

Brush strokes don't look as bad, (or bad at all) on larger models. Your eye has more space to bring it all together, and it can have a more classical art feel.

As Nev said, throw some theme ideas at me, I'll put a poll together tomorrow. Didn't rralise how late in the month it had got!

Speaking of which, I'd better throw in an entry myself! As an undead, unkillable monstrosity whose wounds morph into ever-cackling mouths that drive its opponents insane, I'd say The Laughing Hand from Critical Role's second campaign qualifies. This is a fan sculpt by LPMiniatures, printed on my new Anycubic Photon resin printer. The print came out really well given I'd been using it for less than a week at the time of printing, and the model was a great canvas to go to town with some dingy, atmospheric stylings and lots of texture work.
