Ok, didn't expect this! A minis only release to tide us until next season. 3rd looking certainly like eldari on board, so x vs striking scorpions maybe? The Inq came out ahead.

I heard many people wanting to field INQ. Seems an apt chance in KT21 going forward?

I wont mind a minis only release if the price is on point..

Bit of a disappointing final presentation alright.

Can't wait to get my hands on the retinue, them revisiting another classic =I= mini is awesome.

Wow I missed it, that was only 15 minutes eh? The Inquisition minis are cool at least. Interested to see what happens in the new season.

Wonder what will be in the annual. Last one from late last year had the WD teams and articles. I don't think there is enough WD articles from then to this Summer for an annual alone.

Rules from the previous season for those who didn't want to buy a ton of terrain.

I believe they said on the stream that it will compile all the extra rules from season 2 missions. WDs had no new teams, but I think there was still some content in an issue or two..

That is a lot more models than usual for KT. I wonder if the next season increases the 'scale' like Elites did last edition, so they can fit in more units like terminators or aspect warriors rather than being limited to GEQs.

While I understand that the Inquisitorial retinue is the star of the new box, I'm dissapointed that the Chaos half didn't get at least one new model, or at least some accessories.

I didn’t watch the presentation, so just a guess.

Could it be that the box is a full roster for a narrative campaign? So they don’t expect every model on every mission, but only parts take the field at a time.

The box has a lot of models partly because it includes a campaign mode with variation and because both teams have mechanics to switch their operatives around. The inquisition team has a wide choice of allies, for which sisters and scions are included in this box, while the cultists mutate from smaller models to bigger horrors in a stepwise progression. Thus, more models than usual.

For chaos you start out just with cultists but they mutate during the game to their stronger counterparts and for the inquisition in addition to the Inquisitorial Agents you can take Ancillary Support operatives which the sisters and scions are two options of.
Also there is no terrain in the box so that balances out the additional minis

Yeah, and the mission progression was described with a focus on the Inquisition. If they fare well in the early missions, they'll have an easier final battle. Not sure if it was said specifically in relation to that, but the mentioned cultist progression from devotees to freaks to big freaks can be interrupted by taking out the cultists that can mutate. No idea if that is the extent of it or if there are other mechanics that influence campaign progression.

Another discount box with cultists. People say that GW doesn't fill these boxes with models that don't sell on their own, but I wonder.

I’m not going to lie, an Inquisition be Chaos Cult Narrative focused Kill Team campaign is pretty much what I have wanted for years. Really looking forward to this and hoping it doesn’t sell out in 38 seconds as new KT products tend to.

Nothing explicit, there's just an "Aeldari presence detected" in the final teaser.

Valrak has mentioned that Striking Scorpions (possibly vs. Marine Scouts) would be part of the next season of KT..

The structures in the background of the video (which presumably is the eldar presence) look more dark than craftworld. So.... I'm guessing mandrakes. At least for the first release.

The new box took a lot more puzzling out than a preview article (article only) really should have. Putting numbers on things shouldn't have been that difficult.

Acolytes have a very mixed bag of models. Some are excelllent, others are... meh. Showing off 10 but you can only build 7 (including the servoskull?) doesn't help any.

The thing I find strange about Aspect warriors as a Kill Team is the lack of loadout options. Historically they have always had fixed wargear, with any variation or upgrades coming from an Exarch. But Valraks sources have been fairly reliable, so I guess that's going to change.

Cheers. I don't even remember if I bought that box, I'm so burned out on this release treadmill.

Holy gak I am totally on bord with this Inquisition squad. Slightly annoying that I'd already bought a set of those monopose cultists, but damn, those are some great henchmen!

I'm interested in the price point for that whole affair; the chaos side alone is north of 100€, so say 60€ for the Inquisition part and another 20€ for bits and pieces...

It's 205€ for the models without the Inquisition (50€ I'd guess). That box should better have a huge discount...

So the usual 145€ish price sounds reasonable.
