But then either they need to lose something or imperium get something unique or chaos is just imperium+1

I don't think they should do Chaos Titans in the style of "The one you have already, only with more spikes and an angry face!". I think they should be completely different types of titans - the old Banelords and Subjugators spring to mind - in much the same way that GW is now giving unique types of Knights to Chaos.

I'd love to see a modern Banelord, and the Slaaneshi Knights/Titans make it to AT (and 40k, for that matter).
tneva does make a valid point, though - assuming you start seeing Chaos-specific units appear in AT, do you really see Chaos players not insisting they get access to everything the Imperium gets as well?

Exactly.
Which means Chaos would need an equivalent variety of unique models to combat the Imperium's variety. Which is why I think Chaos (and other Xenos) need to come sooner rather than later. That way there's still Imperial stuff for GW to release for Imperial players and there isn't such a vast disparity in model variety and tactical options on the tabletop.
I really want to see a modern Banelord, Slaanesh knights and more.

And what then Imperium has? If chaos has same as imperium and then some other variants then by definition chaos is superior side. Either the legion rules needs to be biased in favour of imperium or there's just one reason to play imperium. Psi-titan.
So basically take psi titan or play chaos.

That’s where the wider Epic scale came in,
Chaos was a single army. Imperium? Marines, Titans and Guard. And Knights whilst I’m at it. Those could be quite freely intermixed in a certain list.

Chaos is not Imperium +1 if you have different subgroups to draw troops and war machines from, or if you have a setting in which the Imperium innovated but Chaos uses their old gear. Titanicus is just titans, and just during the Horus Heresy. Artificially limiting the game like that means that you can't do anything with the Imperial side. If you want Chaos titans, you either accept it's Imperium +1 or remove options Chaos should rightfully have. There's no good solution to this without moving the game to become Epic.
lord_blackfang wrote:When an F-15 pilot defects to the Russians, at which point does his plane turn into a MIG? As soon as he makes the choice, or when he crosses the border, or...?
Easy. The first mark appears on the plane when the pilot commits to defecting. The closer he flies to the border, the gnarlier it starts looking. But it'll still be an F-15 until he starts shooting down Americans. Only then does his plane start growing a club tail.
Wait, you want it to turn into a MIG? Take it to the garage and get welding. The only thing your F-15 gets from becoming Russian is tentacles and a spiky fur cap.

It doesn't, he runs out of fuel before he reaches the border, if the wings don't fall off because the minister of defence embellished all the maintenance money to buy himself another yacht.

Do you think they'd to an Imperator? Or have they strictly said in the past that they wouldn't?
I'm guessing that they're planning a new version launch. Will be interesting if any of the rumours that say they're going to integrated limited tanks and infantry in turn out to be true
Blood Bowl was released in 2016, had a slow down in new releases, then saw a second edition in late 2020 followed by regular new models.
Necromunda was released in 2017, had a slow down in new releases last year, and just over four years later we're now seeing a fairly substantial update in a new setting with vehicles.
Adeptus Titanicus was released in 2018, and is currently undergoing a slow down in in new content...
And wasn’t Warcry released in 2019, completing a 4 year cycle of 4 games..

Well, I don't think things would go too out of control if GW/ FW say, released a Banelord as an auxiliary Titan for Traitor Legios. Basically make it a counterpart of the Psi-Titan with an appropriately-sized points tag and a fairly fixed weapons kit, with special rules that stay mostly within the existing Corrupted Titans rules framework.
But I don't see much sense in Traitor Legios getting access to a whole new range of Chaos Titans in their maniples in addition to the Imperial options. Nor do I think it makes sense to have a Chaos Legio faction in addition to Traitor Legios. The game is also still a Heresy game (and would likely stay Heresy-adjacent in any later expansions), so I'm not sure that whole forces of heavily mutated Titans would be setting-appropriate anyway. I'm more inclined to put my money on xenos Titans happening...someday. It wouldn't need a massive number of SKUs either. Orks could be handled with kits for Great Gargants, Gargants, and Stompas, with Gorka/Morkanauts in the Knights role. Maybe FW releases a Mekboy Gargant upgrade kit to boot. Done.

If somebody is x+1 you should just remove x from game. Otherwise it's just false choice. People just use x+1 rules regardless of models.

Those are AOS Lumineth at the bottom, so it's not 40k.
I guess a new Daemon Prince model could work for both games though.

Looks like there's a bookmark at the bottom though. Maybe its from an upcoming campaign book, but do they usually have random text blurbs on the picture like that? Especially bland "these are the slaves to darkness. They think they are rulers, but are just pawns" ones? Automatically Appended Next Post: xttz wrote:

We got a new 40k Chosen kit. I was referring to the Warhammer fantasy version.

It could be a leak that won't be revealed for months.
Like how long it took for the HH set to actually be revealed, despite all the leaks.
It looks like it is from a new campaign book, since the appendix leaked too

Lot of new leaks over in the Age of Sigmar thread, so I'll hold off on updating the first post until we know for certain that its related to Warhammer Fest. I imagine they'll have to show them off now (or at least tease them), but besides maybe the "Horns of Hashut" potentially being the new warcry band, I don't think aos chaos was on the list

On the schedule picture, the rightmost banner of the left set is a generic Chaos star as used by Slaves to Darkness. Being generic, it might just as easily be something else Chaos. But I'd say AoS Chaos as a planned reveal is at least a reasonable guess since we have a Chaos Marine helmet on another banner to indicate what's on the 40k side for Chaos.
