I just realized, it looks like they will only be selling mk2 kits in boxes of 10 w/ disintegrator upgrades as a veterans kit? No box of 20?

The Mk2 Tactical Squad is already on sale and not part of this release wave.

Ah missed that. Weird that they felt the need to release a separate 10 man unit packaged w disintegrators. SKU bloat much?

I would actually buy this kit if I hadn't already bought 10 MKIIs from Bits and Kits last week. Satisfies that MKII body itch and gives you one sprue full of disintegrators for the HH marines you already own

I was wondering about that too.

I feel like it popped up in the original Kill Team perhaps?

Kill Team 1.0 was 2018

I think the only place this could have passed me by in 2012ish would have been MESBG or the "board games".

I have got to get me a plasma Moritat now; Critical Hits explicitly chain-activating Breaching is too good to pass up.

As for the measuring stick, I'm definitely thinking one of the LotR adjacent games. I want to paint it black with silver script to follow the box art.

Yes, quite a bit:

I do like how this pic shows the shared design cues between the Saturnine and the Telemon. That’s actually quite clever for once.

The measuring stick was from The Hobbit - An Unexpected Journey box.

If you can keep your head, while all about you are losing their's, then you have probably completely misunderstood the situation!

It seems people who have gotten a look at the Libres are saying the unit descriptions, in comparison to the older books, have been noticeably streamlined.

It certainly doesn't beat the AI /LLM use alegations

Honestly, seeing old world battalion boxes sell out on release reliably even with old models and then seeing saturnine availability still high does make me concerned for some 3rd party shops and FLGS-

If anyone is interested, a little review on the Dropsite Massacre Journal Tactica:

https://ttgamingdiary.wordpress.com/2025/07/29/review-journal-tactica-dropsite-massacre/

The tl;dr would be it is fine for narrative types, not a great deal there for competitive bods.

Instead, try and realise the truth. There is no bar.
