I know they've already done a MTO Deamonette release but I really hoped they would do another one, the things still go for a bomb on eBay (especially Seekers).

What?!!! Daemonettes are movement 10" and Seekers are M16" and S4/T4! Daemonette with effectively 17" charge range on average and potentially 24" without advance and charge.

Masques "Eternal Dance" is decent but I hope their more to her than this and re-rolling 1's to wound.

Slaanesh looking really good like now. Leakwise, I think the only thing we have not seen are any leaks about the Keepers and Slaanesh Characters.

Forbidden Gem got leaked, it's a command phase turn off auras. Depending on LoS and Rage, that will be one of the best relics in the game.

The Masque being able to use it's command style abilities in the Fight phase is super nice. Allows you to silver bullet what you need.

Slaanesh is looking really great. Wallace made it sound like Seekers were terrible. They're not but given that Daemonettes move 10" I can see why they aren't great in comparison since you get more models for less cost and the same 4 attacks at S4/AP2/Dam 1; ignoring their mounts.

I know I'll be running a patrol of Slaaneshi Daemons along with my Emperor's Children every game. Given the raw statlines and baked abilities of Daemons I don't think loosing the Warp Storm rules is going to be that big of a problem.

Fiends of Slaanesh have to be at minimum 6 attacks @ S5/AP-2/Dam 2, and 5-6W and T5.

Daemonettes and Seekers really need new models.
They are looking so old and kinda crappy.

Yeah, I'd say that I'm content with the current plastic daemon range. Whenever I opened up a new kit I was happy with it. Probably least happy with some of the newer stuff - mono build Flesh Hounds were a shame and I thought the Fiends/Enratpuress were a bit of a pain to build.

Seekers are about 12 years old. Plastic Daemonettes are from about 2007.

Mfw 12 years old is considered pretty new for a non-Marine model

Those are objectively great sculpts. Their only weakness is the stiffness of the poses. But that's because they were designed for War Fantasy.

Thanks for sharing them, but I'm looking forward to the saturday previews because it is really hard to unpack these messy disjointed leaks.

At least a lot of these special characters like Kairos and Karanak sound cool.

So if all those guys are all staying in the HQ slot, have they done anything about being able to take Heralds without using up a detachment slot?

If you bring a Greater Daemon, you can bring 1 herald of the same god without using up a slot

Ok thats not too bad.

No extra Warlord Trait strat, but 15 extra Relic strats. Chaosistency at its finest.

And I like the D1 Jugger attacks. Very thematic.

Inconsistent with the units that went from 10 to 20 this edition (Battle Sisters and AdMech's two troop units) and I also strongly suspect it is part of the usual edition flip flop they do for each faction to try to ensure something in your collection might need new models. So 10 mans with free standard/musician this time around (so people might need to get a new box and make 5 standards and 5 musicians to add to existing units) and back we go to 20 mans next edition so you'll have too many standards/musicians.

I'm really strongly expecting Chosen/Terminators to lose Accursed Weapons next edition so existing collections will have bad/illegal loadouts.

Meh, the more I hear about the daemons codex the less excited I become for it :(

Can the Gnarlmaw deep strike like the rest of the army?

As a WE player, I'm cautiously optimistic since Flesh Hounds fill out a fast attack hole that seems to be going to be missing from our upcoming codex. Though it doesn't sound like Blood Tithe is coming back which is a bummer, it still feels like Daemonkin is back on the table (until I'm told the blood brothers mechanic is awful but holding out hope for that too).

What is the stacking +cast from Kairos ability he mentioned? I can't find it in this thread. I just see the cp thing from today.

I theorize that part of it is the Diez daemonettes being so good that the plastics don't look dramatically better by comparison. Though the steeds certainly do, heh.

Battle Sisters were max. size 20 in 8th edition as well, both Index and Codex.

Just checked my 8th ed Sisters codex and they were max size 15, so I'll concede the point.

I wonder what other faction's unit I was thinking of? Did Black Templar Crusaders go from 10 to 20, or did the Primaris Crusaders only appear in 9th and start at 20? Did anything Dark Eldar go up in size?

I've been salty since Plague Marines and Rubrics shrank from 20 to 10 and Cultists from 40 to 30 in the same books.

30 to 10 is a big drop in max size for Daemons. I did build all mine for AoS/40k cross-use so I do actually have 1 banner/horn per 10 and am ready for 9th.

Sounds like they're really wanting you to keep to what's in the box like with those pesky Suppressors and Eliminators. Peak GW rules writing innovation
