Yes, he had a monster of a character to break out of, especially as a child actor. Kudos to him to keep working and not just total garbage stuff, like many child actors as they aged.
I think I'm going to have to watch Bohemian Rhapsody and Rocketman before I watch this. If Weird Al is operating on his usual level, he's going to parody both quite heavily.

They did the same thing with Walk Hard, and that worked. My only concern is that Weird will make too many of the same jokes as Walk Hard did.

He’s almost certainly wealthy enough to be able to pick and choose. That he’s also a pretty bloody decent actor, and a pretty bloody decent person is icing.
