Seems like that (and a few others) would be much better as universal rules that other weapons could use.
Yeah, probably.
Also 'Bloodied' (or something similar if they want to avoid the 'but D&D used it first' crowd) for the 'blah blah Starting Strength, blah blah, a unit with a starting strength of 1 is considered to be below starting strength while it has lost one one or more wounds.' Because that particular boiler plate is already annoying, and I'm already skipping it with the assumption that I know what it says.
Yeah, that and the variant 'sticky objectives' we have already seen could probably have been keyworded, and likely should have been, but it looks like GW is acting overly cautious this time after USRs were not really popular before due to their idiotic tendency to overuse them, and use them in a wrong way, i.e. multiple layers of rules that gave you other rules that gave you USRs.

So - time for a totally made up thing. WE's Wrathful Devotion blessing gives out a feel no pain, or improves an existing one. To the best of my knowledge, no WE units currently have a feel no pain save or anything similar. It's feasible I guess that Eightbound or Juggerlords get it as a package deal for being daemon units on their new datasheets, but it might be a nod towards the much mentioned Berzerker Surgeon actually being made as a real unit? A medic leader giving a unit FNP would be neat.

Murder Yahtzee for WE, that'll be fun. Wonder if Plague Marines will be rolling 7d6.

I'd be willing to be there will be an Enhancement (or perhaps even Detachment) that gives out a FnP. Although Berzerker Chirugeon with a bonesaw would be quite fun.

I wouldn't trash them just yet. They'll be a nice way to put a cheap unit into deepstrike and you won't need to drag an HQ along unless it's worth it.

10th edition has no 'Deny the witch' anymore, but psychic resistance is often modelled as FnP against attacks with [Psychic] - i guess that things like Collars of Khorne will give FnP against [Psychic], and dudes like Eightbound or Fleshhounds may come with it as standard.

Anyone else notice the confirmation battleshock also turns off datacard abilities? It mentions that battleshocked zerkers cant surge. So stuff like fury of the first would also probably turn off. That could be a huge turn in a game.

That's almost certainly because the zerker's ability says it doesn't work when Battleshocked (like, 99.99% certain)

Last chance can be somewhat random and don't forget the stock from 3rd parties will last for ages even new on the shelf before everything hits secondhand.
Though there will always be the odd popular or unpopular ones that will sell out super fast

They will just have a set number of preview slots and +1 number of factions. The answer is never that GW is purposely hiding something they know is going to make the sky fall down.

To be fair, checking on normal SM will tell you how most of the parts of your army are going to look. Which is not what you want, but is something.
The massive changes to how Deathwatch was structured with the last revision took all the wind out of my project to build a small force of them. The way they mix and match in units has been a huge part of their identity, and what the rules are for that is key. Let’s not borrow trouble from the future. Mixed squads has been part of them since they got their own codex. The details might switch, but should be there.
I could be wrong, so fingers crossed they don’t mess things up. I know the waiting for details is getting rough.

We actually know that they're running one preview per weekday until June 10th, which is supposedly the preorder weekend (we get a longer preorder period than usual) for the release on June 24th. That being said, they could easily do an additional preview on any day, it does not cost them anything. Deathwatch get their own card pack, so it's unlikely that they're outright squatted right now. I suppose it's not a case of GW actively hiding something, it's just their usual modus operandi of not telling people anything (that's not immediately related to their current marketing campaign). If they're hiding anything, it will be something like a new faction for 40k that they'll sneak into the previews like it was no big deal or something like that, but then this is highly unlikely as we know their roadmap for the first year or so and that does not have any obvious holes that scream 'put mystery stuff here'. In fact, it looks almost cramped, putting more stuff into it seems like a stretch.

Don’t get me wrong, not saying that they’re squatted, or even that kill teams are going away, it’s just odd to me when presumably the other divergent chapters like BA or DA will get one. Especially when the units listed are generally not relevant to what makes deathwatch different. If they had shown us say, a tactical marine, or something like that then sure, or even how wargear works on a broad scale i’d be fine with it, but they haven’t. I just don’t want to lose all the wargear options and be restricted to just in the DW veterans kit. (Swords, Bolters, one combi-weapon, Stalker Bolter, 2 shotguns, 2 hammers, 2 Shields, Infernus Heavy Bolter, Frag Cannon 1 Xenophase blade). Combi-weapons being unified would also be a massive deal. So much of what they shown is tangentally relevant but not directly relevant.

They confirmed in a similar Facebook post last week that individual marine chapters weren't getting focus articles either. BA and BT were specifically mentioned as examples. My assumption is that anything which is currently a supplement won't get an article, while GK will.
That should take us to around May 31st for articles, depending how they handle Imperial Agents and the two Knight factions.

Ah well, let's see:
05/02 Space Marines
05/03 Tyranids
05/04 Chaos Space Marines
05/05 Necrons
05/08 Imperial Guard
05/09 Chaos Demons
05/10 Adeptus Sororitas
05/11 Leagues of Votann
05/12 World Eaters
05/15 Adeptus Mechanicus
We have missing:
Aeldari
Drukhari
T'au
Imperial Agents - that would get us to 05/19
Then:
Knight Households
Adeptus Custodes
Orks
Genestealer Cults
Grey Knights - getting us to 05/26
Then:
Thousand Sons
Death Guard - getting us to just 05/30, and then you'll have to go into Supplements, but could get
Blood Angels
Dark Angels
Black Templars
Space Wolves and either finish the week, or take one of them - if you leave out e.g. Black Templars you can finish the week exactly; if you take only one you can finish the month of May. My guess is that at least Dark Angels will get a preview, as they're slated to get a full codex as per the roadmap.

I’m not really scared, or even worried, I was mainly just annoyed that they pointed us to the Space Marine article when it doesn’t really tell you about anything directly relevant to the army. Like, beyond the land raider stats, and the rwo guns most of it is irrelevant to the main thrust of the army. Admittedly I didn’t realize the rest of the divergent chapters weren’t getting focuses, but either way. I iust want to know if i’ll have to recongifigurr my entire army because they’re going to go NMNRs again.

In a game which is supposed to be “simplified”, Deathwatch might be a real problem. Their kill teams generally had enormous amount of variety and I wonder how GW will water that down. After the ridiculous points increase with free wargear end to 9th, I don’t think I’ll hold my breath.

I suspect it won't be very free-form and the unit will have multiple abilities, but can only select one each command phase.

Seems to me they are detailing the distinct factions based not the Faction Keywords and their Faction Rules. BA, DA, SW, and DW are all Adeptus Astartes and presumedly have Oath of Moment. Therefore they aren't doing a separate faction focus to cover their unique detachment nor unique models.
This is a bit of a pity because I know everyone would love to see how a Space Wolves detachment would restrict them from the non- SW First Born models along with allowing them the unique Space Wolves units.

I'd assume that Space Wolves would just get a separate PDF file to Space Marines with a different list of datasheets available. Same for their physical datacard pack.
