Oh yes, I forgot how useful an ability that was for a unit that wants to be flying around in a transport. Definitely not a waste of ink.

I mean, it's a rule that means they can keep flying around in the transport instead of sitting still?

Yes that seems perfect for them. The zoom up, jump out and nick the objective, then jump back in and zoom off to the next one.

Is it too much to hope that players will not want to own a biologis because of the meh rules and it’ll be easy to snag on eBay?

It definitely isn't a waste, Kabalites sticky obsec explicitly carries over to any transport they are embarked on. Super fast sticky obsec is pretty in keeping with a fast glass hammer army that wants to get busy glass hammering and not hanging around on objectives getting in and out of hover cars.

Unless you have Warriors with Deathspitters and Swords, and the latter are for cc ones only, and suddenly you have illegal loadout

Thankfully, I don't! Boneswords wasn't a thing back when the Warriors were re-released in 3rd edition, so they got all Scything with Deathspitter and Venom Cannon. The only Boneswords I got are the 2nd edition one, and I built those without the Deathspitter. Worse thing worse, if that combo suddenly become illegal some Boneswords will count as scythe or whatever other legal weapon loadout, or they'll count as having no gun

Fantasy armies - Retired (Tomb Kings, Vampires, Empire, Chaos Warriors/Daemons, Dark Elves)

Tyranids army - Ever evolving, but about 10k pts
Custodes - 3,500pts (Fully painted yay!)
Thousand Sons - 4,000 pts
Eldar - 3,000pts

I’m hoping the flamey bois won’t be too hard to pick up separate, myself. My Salamanders crave the fire.

Even as someone looking forward to them, I’m asking myself “will I ever want to field a full 10 man squad of these guys? Or even 2x5 MSU?” They seem very specialized, so how many do you need in a list?

I’d be surprised if they weren’t easy to get secondhand.

That would be more reassuring if I had seen more hammer and less glass.

We haven't seen the Raider yet, but the Venom has been turned into a flying coffin with all the defensive capabilities of a watermelon. It was already a transport players were avoiding like the plague, yet despite having had its defences stripped while all other vehicles are getting huge buffs to their durability, it's guns remain as abysmal as ever.

Apparently GW has updated the webstore with the new keywords and Magnus is getting deepstrike. Also, it looks like there are no vanilla firstborn kits with BATTLELINE, which seems odd. Might not mean anything. Looks like Nids don't have any listed either.

Spoiler:

Also, the keywords are changing periodically. I saw screenshots of the Sisters lists that were different then when i went to check.

What was different, out of curiosity?

I'm liking the Scouts list personally. Skitarii Rangers and Raiders are in it, which makes me have a hopeful.

Novitiates lost battleline and the Palantine went from Infiltrator to Scout.

Firstborn not getting battleline for anything sounds weird, I would have expected at least Tactical Squads getting it. Oh well, just means I will not expand my SM army further than 3 units each max. I will stop playing 40K before I give up my beakies, we waited for plastic MKVI for decades, I'm not giving up on em now. Hell, the assault squad MKVI's are still 6+ months out.

just wait holy gak, do you really expect the fething filter on the webstore to be perfectly in-sync with the rules? Theyve been changing nonstop today too

Don't trust the Web store tagging BATTLELINE units as correct.
NONE of the Daemon "Troops" are tagged as BL, but we know for a fact that they will be. We saw both Plaguebearers and Horrors datasheets last week and they had the keyword

GW's webstore must be a worse POS than I thought. Usually, you can make changes before "publishing" them to the live site. Do they need to manually push each and every item change live? weak

Nids also don't have any battleline currently and the SoB list has already changed a couple of times.

I see. Best to wait until next week for the pdf's to drop then, I will disregard the store edits altogether

I think this is the best look we've got at the Leviathan transfer sheet:

I guess White Scar, Salamander and Iron Hands players can go to hell?

UM/BA/DA/SW were going to be on there. It’s favoritism, but they are the big 4.

They have space for 2 more and pick RG and IF? OK. Fists I get. The content of the box I think fits them. RG though? Big chonky boys and regular forces. Not really their MO. Same could be said for WS. Both those chapters skew more FA, and this box is giving me more HS vibes. On chapter flavor, i think Salamanders would have been a much better pick. We’ve got a whole squad of burny boys! I would have given them the nod. IH is not a bad call either.

It might be they avoided Salamanders due to the fact they paint different skintones. Hard to into set/tutorial them and cover everyone else. Or there might be lore reasons for chapters working in the theater.

I don’t think we can expect to get transfers for all the chapters, but am a little surprised with the ones we got.

That guy who has the homebrew RG successor is probably the reason they're on their.

Paul Norton, who has the Iron Ravens, is just a studio painter.

Apparently the Raven Guard are slated to play a "big role" in the 4th Tyrannic War. The artwork for their random big box suddenly makes a bit more sense, since it had them slaying GSC.

Could be that they picked the usual blue, red, green, grey, and yellow chapters then realised there was room for one more set of logos so went with black. Then it covers a wide range of colour schemes for new marine players to pick from.

They'll probably re-use the same transfer sheet for the longer term starter box too.

He's in the studio, has friends, plays games with people etc. If I know he uses RG transfers then everyone at GW does. RG are probably fighting GSC becasue they're an insurgency. Given what they did to the RG specific minis I can't believe it's because RG proper are getting any love.

They should'a done something out of left field: Put Blood Raven transfers on there!
