That seems like a very short time from digital release to announcing plans to do them in plastic. I guess they were a big hit.
Are they bullpups or FN90-style horizontal magazines?

I amended mine yesterday, changing the male Cannon Fodder weapon sprue to Female Cannon Fodder sprues.
May as well get some extra bodies and the lasrifles rather than just the lasrifles.

Yes the gamefound pledge manager is up and running and you can select you rewards from the crowd funder, add extra money, or sign up if you didn't get round to it when the project was live (you'll need to delete your old reward selection then re-add it to get the correct number of extra sprues if you hadn't realised yet as the gamefound software couldn't cope will adding stuff to an already selected reward)

The delivery date on Gamefound is May 2024, so they've got a bit of time. I'm sure we'll get updates as production goes along.

They said at the beginning of the crowdfunding that May 24 was a backstop, and they hoped to be able to deliver well before that,
but the project did end up unlocking an awful lot of stuff so i'm inclined to think May 24 is probably a realistic date if everything goes well

It looks very much like Chinese (a Dadao) as shape is fairly distinctive
can't tell you if it's wwi or wwii period as it was in use in both

maybe chinese civil war troops? it was a conflict largely occurring between ww1 and ww2 (when the fighting largely got put on hold due to the japanese invasion) before starting back up after ww2.
looking at some of the pictures of the troops from that conflict, the uniform and grenade looks like it could from that place and period. at least for the Republic of China forces.(the communist forces used such gear too thanks to theft and salvage, but were less uniform in outfits due to being mostly guerillas.)
and i could see them doing Republic of China forces from their roughly ww2 period as a way to add some variety to their "worlds ablaze" line.

The cap at the bottom of the grenade's stick looks really distinctive, but doesn't match any I know of. I'm fairly sure it isn't British or German, but I don't know of any other countries which used stick-grenades (which weren't just using copies of British or German ones). I guess it could be a very, very bulked up version of the M1917 Stielhandgranate's lobed cap.
The row of six pouches across the belly also seems pretty specific and I'm sure I've seen it before but I can't remember where. Most rigs like that have five pouches or a buckle splitting two blocks of three. Could maybe be something intended as a bandolier worn in an unconventional way?
By the 20th Century, I'd expect that kind of 'falchion' sword to only be found in or near China. It does look pretty spot-on for a big dao, but there were similar swords in other cultures.
For what it's worth, Osprey Men-at-Arms 306 (Chinese Civil War Armies) has an illustration (colour plate C) which includes a Chinese nationalist soldier wearing something fairly similar; the collar and pouches aren't identical, but I could believe they were both based on the same source.

The arrangement of the bandolier reminds me of the ones used for SKS/Type 56 ammunition and I can see the uniform working for NVA. Don't know about the sword though
