The only weird thing that sticks out to me is the neck joint on the bare heads. It’s a bit too close fitting I think, contributing to the action figure look.

To me the helmeted ones look much better.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

+1 for the paintjobs being the issue here. I do wonder if characters and an upgrade sprue are all BA will get, or if maybe they're hiding some re-scaled Sanguinary Guard up their sleeves

Rumours say new Guard and new Sanguinor.

I'd be very surprised if that was all they were getting. Da got upgrade sprue, DW knights, inner circle (new unit) and a couple characters. BT got the upgrade sprue, crusader squad, sword brethren, and a couple characters. I'd expect a similar amount for BA.

It’s not all they’re getting.

Last bit of yesterday’s article wrote: Both characters will be released later this year, alongside the phenomenal new Codex Supplement and other upgraded Blood Angels.

That could easily be referring to Lemartes and Astorath but yeah.

Thats true but the same rumours that told us about Astorath, Lemartes, the boxset contents and the Sanguinary priest also told us about Sanguinary Guard and the Sanguinor. So at least those two are 99% confirmed

They really should release new Sanguinary Guard. Most of the marine line has been primarised, and it is super awkward for such an iconic unit to languish in the dwarf state.

I for one love the new BA characters, and I have no intention of starting a BA army, like, ever. The models are really nice though, particularly the Sanguinary Priest. I'm half tempted to get one, replace the shoulder pad and remove the chalice, give it some Dark Angels bling, and use it in my army.

The priest is way better then the basic apothecary. De-BA him might be a pain though. Might be simpler for DA where you can just replace the blood drops with tiny swords.

I really hate when they give rules that are better against certain factions then others like that re-roll 1's but against daemons re-roll everything. How do you balance that? Mediocre against most things, but really good against one faction and parts of a few more. I know that is the fluff, but that is what crusade is for. I don't know just my opinion.

Um, what? He is right there?

[yes it's technically sold as generic priest, but backpack/head/fancy sword/chalice/pad are all from Corbulo's art and robe fits his position as Sanguinary High Priest, so all BA players I am aware of use it as Corbulo anyway, especially seeing this loadout was actually illegal for generic priests for multiple editions, funnily enough]

Only makes slightly less sense than Primaris Lemartes.

I like how people who don't know BA lore besides 4chan made up whining for the sake of it don't realize Mephiston was DC grade too, so that ship sailed long ago

Besides, it makes a lot of sense to try throwing will enchancing stuff Primaris have on DC and see if it sticks - that is the whole point of Lemartes/Corbulo/Dante character arcs, they grasp every single possible shred of hope and try to improve on it in hopes of finding the cure for BA rage issues, if anything it would be dumber and made no sense in character if they did not try this as they are doing literally anything they can think of right now, including stuff far more drastic than rubicon, in hopes something will eventually work...

I agree some designer probably made an attempt at doing Corbulo, without much understanding of his personality, but clearly someone else had the good taste to say "no way".
I actually thought the first version they just previewed, with the chainsword, was the new Corbulo and that they decided to give him white armour.

Believable but fake - I think the current set of Valrack rumours lean towards there being an IG box perhaps out around the end of the year but the codex release not out until later.

I think Grey Knights is a little early there too, I'm also a little surprised we didn't get Imperial/Chaos Knights alongside the Cerastus Knights. So I'm a little curious if more is due there.

There's also really only ten weeks/three months of releases left for this year. I think they're being a little optimistic in thinking that means we've got another seven codices coming out in that timeframe.

This isn't the kind of thing that normally leaks. A digital image like this doesn't have to go through a printer or something to hit the web so its pretty suspicious.

Using an identical layout to the prior version also makes it feel like someone replaced the images and text. You'll also notice that the first two boxes aren't centered quite right, which is really noticeable since the Winter 2024 centering is worse than the prior Winter 2023 version.

So I don't think this is real. It COULD be true, however. Someone with knowledge of what's at the printer could have made a list and had someone doctor up a roadmap from what they know. Most likely its just someone guessing though and at the very least I don't think this was made by GW.

In fairness, this is merely potentially a roadmap for the book releases - it makes no mention of model support.

Whilst confirmed fake, 7 books would be by spring which is 1st March.

Not sure how you do seasons but I doubt GW is counting Aug - Dec at both Autumn and Winter. I'd expect two - three before new years, which takes us through the autumn ones and gets one of the winter in before 2025. I suppose it would be worth while looking back at old road maps and looking how they did the 'Winter' timings.

The first version I can find was posted on Reddit, where Valrak jumped in to mock it in the comments.

Also if you run the image through a photoshop forensics tool you can see traces of where the summer codex 'redacted' stamp was removed from the last official version of the image.

You don't even need Photoshop to see it. There's a bit of grey from the background that breaks into the image of the World Eaters image where the Redacted used to be.
