This is getting silly now - we don't need a leak to confirm what's going to be in the WarCom "Up for pre-order next week" article. Especially not by a mere handful of hours.

Agreed, it seems pathetic but that small measure of hype/dissapointment whilst cooking means a lot.

I see it as less of a "leak" and more of a "heads up, here's the prices so you can plan what you might want to preorder before it goes up next week".

Me too! I really don't need another knight (would be the 5th abhorrent chassis for me) but if it's pretty....

It's not new. That head is in the current kit.

You don’t need a full army.

You can make do with just one or two to ally into your other forces.

But a Lance of Knights is beautiful to behold.

I just figure if I do an army of each, then any group events I can contribute to balancing.

While last week's Imperial Knight reveal was a disappointment, this actually feels like a fair release for Chaos Knights considering they received an awesome update in the last edition with the Abominant and Wardogs.

That said, the Knight codices feel like they've already given away the best new features of 10th edition; the Warcom Xmas Detachments and White Dwarf Combat Patrols. The codices are going to need some damn good rules and options to wow those casual players who are happy enough to stick with the Indices. Here is something they could have done far, far better straight off the bat regarding Combat Patrols...

For the codices they should have done the White Dwarf Patrols in issue 509, where one buys a codex and a box of Armigers / Wardogs for a neat introduction to 10th edition. Then for White Dwarf it would have been better to have designed them with the Xmas detachments in mind; the player chooses a single Armiger or Wardog - any weapon loadout - but the rest of the patrol would be a unit of Skiitari rangers and a Marshal, or for Chaos it would be two units of Cultists. The Imperial patrol would be along the lines of the Armiger and Skiitari working together as admirable equals, while in contrast the Chaos Wardog is so starved of respect from it's cruel Knight masters that it exercises it's dominance over it's cultist underlings.

Right, but once you get an army at 40k scale you need to duplicate it in epic scale and vice versus.

Wallet currently being spare by so much of it being Out Of Stock at my usual places.

Drill, missiles and flamer were all definitely rumours so at least 3

I have some Imperial Knights that I don't play. Thinking of making them Chaos or something the swaps between the two maybe? I just need to see how these kits turn out I guess.

Well you don't need Imperial Knights, but Chaos Knights allows you to have a LOT more fun. If someone complains that it's not fair that you have a giant killer robot, then you can rightfully say "yeah, I don't think you quite understand the arrangement here...".

If I do, reckon I’ll focus on HTH.

Neither know nor care if that’s efficient in game. I just like the idea of snooty gits in towering suits of armour acting like callous children, smashing up their “toys”.
