They made a mistake in an off-the-cuff comment. I don't see what the big deal is.

The thing about Warhammer is that no one person can grasp the fullness of it.

It's not a big deal, but when they're specifically advertising a new product and mention a feature it has that it later does not have, that's not good.

A mistake during a live show is acceptable. But they should have published a correction a few days later max

That definitely makes me want one less.

I could have sworn they even showed one with a roof in the preview, but I went back and watched the video and didn't see it, so I must have imagined the whole thing based on the statement.

Just like with the Rogal Dorn, I expect a number of third party sculptors will finish GW's work for them. I would bet we'll see 3d printed armored top covers pretty soon.

I'm hoping to find an stl of a Deuce and a half WWII truck and rescale the canvas top.

I think thats a feature, not a bug. Smaller playing area, more models, everything on the table? You need high model removal.

Or simply stop slashing points blindly in the name of balance (then they get praise for doing it oddly) so there aren't 100+ models per side as standard. Then you can drop lethality a little.

Yeah, this is basically it for me. I've been at this on and off for 35 years and if it doesn't have Tactical, Devastator and Assault Marine squads, it ain't 40K. From here on, it's alternate/homebrew/old rules that don't lock out any of my existing models instead of the incessant and accelerating churn of the 'official' rules/models.

Yep would be the end for me to.

Tacticals assault and Devs exist in some way across the army. Devs got split into several units, while Tacticals are just intercessors and Assault squads are Jump pack intercessors

That's missing the point entirely.

Yep. Its a core part of the model range in a universe sold on being decaying and not moving forward.

First new grot model is out, looks like we're getting 1 grot per day this week, given that I guess 5 grots in a trench coat is the equivalent of a single model reveal.

So far, it looks similar in design to the existing ones, so at least it won't look out of place.

Kind of big hands on that one, makes arm look huge in comparison with legs. Its a grot so yeah thats ok I guess.

Nice grot. I almost bought more grots prior to hearing the content rumors. Definitely glad to wait if only for variety.

Teeth on the small side, but overall okay for a grot. I doubt the Box will have what I'm looking for in grots, that is, 20 Grots for 25€ with interchangeable parts, but I'll probably have to watch out for the Old World Grots for that.

During the last couple of years the Grot Set always had the highest increases in prices %-wise, from 12,50€ to 18,50€ IIRC. So I'm guessing GW will want 30€ for the new one, let's just hope it'll still include a Runtherd.

We're talking about a company that once said (back in 8th IIRC) that Cawl's points were going up because he was stupidly OP, then it turned out his points went DOWN and rather than even own up to the mistake they scrubbed the article removing all mention of it, modified the image to no longer show Cawl's silouhette with an "up" arrow, and pretended they never said it and acted like anyone who remembered the original artical was mistaken. 1984 vibes.

New Valrak rumors: looks like ALL firstborn units, except the Rhino and Land Raider, are going to Legends.

Does this mean Primaris can now ride Rhinos?

Most likely. Curious what they do with the Impulsor.

Hopefully yes. It would be a great time to just make a Primaris vehicle upgrade set and make use of the better HH Rhino models (Diemos Rhino with pintle mounted ironhail stubber or whatever), but more likely you get a codex where they can use Rhinos, then next time they get the axe too.

I feel like the Rhino and Land Raider have proven themselves superior to their replacements and are likely to stick around.

Very little, its occupies a different space due to capacity.

A strictly inferior space only justified by being able to transport Primaris where the Rhino cannot.

The Impulsor's ability gives it utility for transporting 'weapon squads' like Infernus or Hellblasters.

The thing about Warhammer is that no one person can grasp the fullness of it.

Oh, so what justified the razorbacks existence then?

I like the design elements that call back to the 2nd ed monopose Gretchin from the starter set, even if the post is different.

Not for a long time. I think until 6th/7th they were separate boxes.
