Thanks for the suggestions, Ezki. I'm giving my monthly entry some attention right now since time is ticking away on that, and have a half finished unrelated model I'd like to complete as well. It very much feels like I want to finish something. I haven't gotten very much done this year. Everything's just been progressing slowly.

It's also that I have a few unfinished sculpts from last year that I want to work on a lot more than the stupid frog. Summer is the best time for it for a number of reasons. I'd hate to miss the opportunity.

And did I mention that I have no patience for working on large models? That sure doesn't help.

I think I just need to finish something at the moment and the froghemoth isn't far enough along for to fit the bill.

A lovely model to paint.
I had so much fun painting her.

100% agree.

Ok gang. Gauntlet is down with a high bar to reach, but I know we’ve got a lot of talent out there. Still more then a month to go. Get that podium crowded!

Work on the crane goes slowly forward. The truck part is finished, I'll add some mud when it is finished. The container is also done. I used decals for some vintage civilian truck.

If I won't make it till the end of the contest I can just use it as ordinary truck

The truck part of my Cargo-8 is pretty much built as far as I want to before priming is appropriate. I want to use some subassemblies for this project to make the painting process easier. I managed to mount a dozer blade that came with my Basilisk kit in lieu of the spikey cowcatcher that comes with the Cargo-8 kit.

Progress is waaaay too slow for me to have this done by the deadline, but I'll keep plugging away at it. Hopefully I can at least get the thing built and primed by the deadline.

Struggling about in Asmos territory.

Been working past 2 days on the basing for the Glottkin, almost like building a dollhouse heh (kitbashing and painting props seperately), making it into a horror-graveyard with bare skeletons and grue.
Will still have to paint some grassy knolls red before placing those, and finishing on the metalwork, then taking augusts spare days (ugh, hardly have any) to finish the Glottkin's bulbous gore and the remaining work on the brothers on top.

Feel free to use one of your genies wishes to help me finish this one before august ends.

Just an overdue update showing the undercoats.
First a simple black.

Then an all over silver with the cockpit masked off

Then Wolfkin Grey from Colour Forge with the silver bits masked off

Ive since added repair patches and reused panels from other ships and still hae a heat effect on the engines and several other details to do.

It is an oath we honour. I'm not far enough along for a WIP picture, but I did make some progress over the weekend. I'm still filling gaps. At a guess I'm about halfway there.

@Halfling84: Digging the weathering! Yellow is a tasty color to play with some chipping and such.

I seem to have quite a few models that would be suitable for this. I find large models very intimidating - I consider cavalry to be off putting enough - so these beasties tend to get put to one side. Hopefully this challenge will help change that, though I may have joined a bit late to get one done in time

Great news, everyone! I'm out! I haven't had enough motivation throughout to get the froghemoth in paintable shape and since it still isn't, there's no way I can finish it before the deadline.

It's a bit unfortunate, but the model just isn't fun to work on. It doesn't hold a candle to anything else I worked on for the duration of the challenge, but more so my Beep Boop entries that I'm really feeling right now. So yeah...

Instead of a painted model I'll try to finish prep work on it and make that my goal. Maybe it'll resurface as a monthly entry down the line.

The Colossus crane is not yet completed, but was put together for the first time. There is still some weathering and few little details to complete. I am really impressed by the 3D printed chain - not only it bends and looks like a real thing, but is strong enough to hold the weight of the container without any problems.

That looks great, nice job on the weathering!

With a feeling of considerable awkwardness, may I present Lily II, the Keeper of Mysteries:

And if you really must know what (almost) all the rest looks like, and possibly the last thing I'll post before my lifetime ban from the forum, here:
Spoiler:

I figure we're not terribly frightened of nipples, and the cultists (who as soon as I set them in place and got the leashes attached I immediately started referring to as 'the corgis') are so low-detail there's nothing really to show anyway, but Lily's business area is extremely detailed (it's a bespoke part from a plastic statue, not my half-arsed green stuff sculpting), so you'll just have to use your imaginations. So overall... far from my best work painting, but big models aren't my jam, my feeling is the achievement isn't that I did it particularly well, but that I did it at all.

I find it a bit funny that the hidden pictures have some, but not all, of the little black boxes removed.

Are we really not supposed to show miniatures' nadgy bits on here? I certainly have, and they haven't banned me (yet)!

Extremely snazzy. I strongly suspect I won't finish mine as I have been distracted by other toys, sadly.

As a reminder, we get an extra (long) weekend to finish this, as we are not ending at end of month, but Labor Day. Which is Monday the 2nd.
