Hello All! I've been a lurker for a bit, but I suppose its time for a post. I am an older gamer (40) that can remember
40K in its infancy when we went off to college and first got exposed to the hobby. Back then I didn't have the money to buy anything of my own, but friends would loan me stuff. (my firends got those high interest rate
CCs in college and went to town) I didn't last in college long and joined the Army. Well, those early years I still didn't have any money to buy into the hobby, but I knew the day would come eventually.

Finally I got my first army, Dark Eldar when the 3rd Edition came out. What a terrible army for a beginner to learn with. Awesome miniatures and fun painting, but not for the beginner. So, many moons later, I now sit with so many
40K armies and
WHFB armies that I am embarassed to say. Not to mention all the
FW stuff. I am a full blown addict. I enjoy the modelling as much or more so than the game play. That's the primary reason that
40K held my interest long enough to get in when I finally had the extra $$$ to spend. Still in the Army, in my 22d year, and still a gamer/hobbyist. It's not for everyone, but it's been great for me.
I am currently working on a Khornate "scuttling horde" army that has 3 Defilers with Champions of Khorne as riders, 3 Blood Slaughterers of Khorne, a Brass Scorpion of Khorne and 30 Termies among other Khorne items. Yes, this is an Apocalypse/'Ardboyz army, although I think I will use the Blood Slaughterers in my normal list with 2 Defilers as
HS just to see what happens. Once I get them complete, I hope to post the pics on Dakka. Blood for the Blood God!
