hey, I don't know if anyone remembers any of my other paint schemes, but every single marine I have ever painted has been crisp and perfect, which is how I paint best, but I've always felt painting this way is unrealistic and frankly kind of lame, so I thought I'd have a go at some really dirty, gritty marines who haven't cleaned their armor in a month or so. This is what I came up with, I know they look like lamenters or imperial fists, but I intended for them to be my own chapter

I love the gritty scheme. Are you planning on painting the skulls and backpack mechanics?

I like your method of scratches, especially on the termie head.

Your marines look sufficienty muddy, have you considered stippling some sand and paint for a dirt effect?

They look nice, though i'm having trouble really determining the exact color for the marines, since the photos are coming out a little orange to me. They look very nicely painted, however, so good job on them. Details look like they're all there, along with highlighting.

The first and my last photos are my favs, they look really cool. I can see the similarities to the Imperial fists, but that's not the first thing you think of in my opinion, they are definitely a chapter of their own. Good work.

To be honest inho they just look like they have been hit with a wash and look dark. I think there are better ways to make models look dirty with out saturating the model. Weathering pigments are nice or adding splashes of mud and dirt to parts of the model.

I think they look pretty cool. I love the grime runs.
