Nothing amazing and just as much a nightmare to gets pics of as they are to paint.
But 9 infantry stands plus a warlord stand.
Amazing how much time epic does take to paint.
Once I start I seem to lose chunks of the day lol.

I have nearly finished my Captol Heavy Infantry for Warzone, they are at the basing stage at the moment. They are a little 'flat' from the front though without much detail to break them up, the back is far more visually interesting. I think that I will be repainting the helmets a contrasting colour; my first thought was bone but my Martian Banshees already have bone helmets and I want them to be distinctive. Any suggestions?
Some WIP pics to illustrate my point.
I'm quite glad that I have finally finished them, I was really unhappy with my first attempts well over a year ago and they have been a bit of a roadblock to finishing my Capitol. With them out of the way I can get the rest done.
I am quite tempted to get myself a Squat army now, if only they weren't ridiculously expensive on Ebay these days.

Liking those Capitol guys.
In fact, I like pretty much all the new Warzone designs.
I've got a few of the Mishima figures from Resurrection. Maybe I'll do my Crimson Devils when I'm done with my lizards.
(Also, most of the lizards are in various stages of completion. 2 of the 3 Carnosaurs are just about finished. 7 of the 10 Saurus are almost done as well, so it's possible I may be done before January finishes.)

Here's some pictures. As you can see, the veins on the Marble are a little too thick, but I think it looks good enough from tabletop distance - it's obviously marble, and that's what's important!
Of the heroes, I like the Halfling Thief and the Naiad quite a lot. The Naiad has the best facial expression, grim determination. The faces on the other two are lacking in detail, but I like how Ally is a tiny female indiana jones.

Epic or 40k squats puffin?
And for what it's worth, I rarely pay the buy it now prices on eBay unless it's dirt cheap.
Most of my army has come from auctions I've won.
Although, in total I think I've paid around £350 or so up to now for my squats I have.

Epic. Squats were my very first Epic army (that wasn't in the starter set at least), I have no idea how many I had but it was a lot. All I have left are a handful of trikes and 2-3 stands of infantry.

Not sure what it is about them, but love the army.
Currently this is the tally of what I have to get through:
4 leviathans
3 colossus
2 Cyclops
2 land trains with 7 carriages each
6 armoured airships
15 gyrocopters
49 bike stands
15 trike stands
10 exo trikes
10 thudd guns
20 mole mortars
6 Goliath mega cannons
4 thunderfire cannons
Well over 200 infantry stands
75 berserker stands
100 thunderer stands
75 hearthguard stands
10 warlord stands
May have a bit more laying about too, but that's the stuff from memory.
Just been building it up over the years.

Got some great stuff coming along guys. I think I've roughly solidified my plans for the 6 month challenge, but I make no promises that I won't finish it all early if enthusiasm catches. Atm, it isn't doing so...batch painting leaves me a bit numb...but who knows. 1000pt KoW Orc list: Krudger on winged Slasher (big orc boss on dragon, wee!) Morax Regiment (two axes means twice the fun, mulches things) Greatax Regiment (almost as much fun as the Morax) Ax Troop (screen/points filler, bit boring but mainstay) Skulks Troop (sneakier bow wielding orcs, I'm using the orcs and possibly goblins from Dungeon Saga for these, unless I find some bows in my bits box to convert regular orcs) Orclings Regiment (mantic's even tinier answer to snotlings, tiny orcs in a swarm, 3 40mm bases worth) Trolls Regiment (going to work on reposing the DS trolls to make a unit, love those guys) Seven distinct units, but the skulks and ax troops are smaller so I'll either combine those two or combine one or the other with the Orclings. I'm not sure this is a good list, but it seems reasonably entertaining to paint. I'll get about half of my basic orc troops finished and still leave a few fun things like giants, gore riders, and any chariot/fight wagons for later. Also have a couple of reaper trolls and a bigger troll boss for later too. So there's the target list. Seems a bit meager for six months, but then we must consider this isn't all I intend to paint over that time.

Not only did I wrap up the first of the 3 carnosaurs, got my Borka on his bear finished as well. Will try and seal them along with a big pile of stuff tomorrow.
Technically it isn't a Carnosaurus.... it looks like a Ceratosaurus with the big horn there and the claw placement.
Both rider and dino need a quick shading treatment, but I think they're good to go.
Onward to my old metal Carnosaur!

Hey Azazelx, only just found the thread. Everyone looks like they are painting some great stuff.
Hope you don't mind me asking, but I get limited hobby time and had a plan for the next year of the projects I wanted to tackle, but they aren't really unique to an army or even system. I would like to paint more, but can't guarantee I'll have the time. There's some Dark Angels, Necrons, Tau and MEdge I really want to do for variety to keep me focused. Would I be able to put my list down to participate despite this?

I cant speak for Az but pretty sure he isnt going to care. Just set a goal for X number of models finished per month.
I think I am going to add at least one skirmish model or zombicide character a month to my goal of 10 Zombies.

@Jackal - nice work on all those stands of Squats. Makes me nostalgic for the 40k ones I foolishly sold in my youth. Your Epic ones look suitably cool all ranked up like that!
@Silent Puffin? - The WarZone stuff looks good. Would perhaps a metallic blue visor work on those bone helmets to kind of tie in with the Capitol-USA colours? Their weapons are certainly looking good.
@Highlord - you've got one hell of a bottomless pit of cool lizardmen models. I really like that new rider, and as I mentioned on your blog, that bear is on my shopping list thanks to you!
@Da Boss - still loving the marble effect there!
@TP^ DC Deputy Manager - I initially started the thread only half expecting a couple of people to be interested, and to help motivate people (mainly myself as well) to focus on getting more units painted for our armies. For me that's having more focus, but really mate, I'm all for anything that helps anyone else get more of their figures painted, so of course you're welcome to join in. I'll add you to the OP. If you can aim to get a "unit" or hero painted each month, then you'll be totally on target.
And having said all that, I forced myself to sit down yesterday and finish off a unit that had been staring at me since August:

The problem is that there isn't a visor, the helmet is a shaped face plate with 2 sets of 2 (shallow) depressions for 'eyes', which have mostly been obliterated when I repainted them.
I have started on my Sea Lions now which will mostly finish off my available Captiol (well I still have Henry Thomas and a couple of Purple Sharks but they are currently unassembled). I have had some Epic stuff arrive in the post today so I will be switching back to teeny tiny tanks for a while.

I ought to get some of those WGF samurai. Kind of surprised I don't have any yet. Look like they'd be great bits to convert Skorne up with as well.
While others were sleeping last night, I FINALLY finished my big dumb Carnosaur that I got the week it came out. Wasn't that pre- End Times?
Moving on to the dinky metal one which I always wanted as a kid but could never afford. He's got his base coats all down, gotta do his teeth, eyes, and claws, then it's off to finish his base.
Started in on some of those Saurus warriors as well. They were all primed in a super light blue (lighter than the water on that dino there) and should fix up their bases later this week as well.
Metal Carnie and rider should be done before the week is done, and then it's on to flying lizards and my stegadon!

You could do a Frostgrave samurai force instead? You could make all the Frostgrave unit types, and have a pool of choices to pick from. I may just try that myself...
I feel your pain on painting large piles of figures all at the same time. The monotony gets to me. Same color, same size, same shape, same weapons...I much prefer doing a few different kinds of figures all at once.

Finished putting together the foundation of my 'Bourak Port City' table for Infinity, which is entirely DUST Tenements...which I have a ridiculous number of.
Next step is finalizing what buildings I'm putting together permanently and what I'm leaving for a bit of modularity.
With this particular table I'm intending for most of the modularity to come from the smaller pieces, catwalks, detail and scatter. So at most I'll probably have 3-5 stackable pieces and the rest as whole buildings.

Ahhh.. fair enough then.
.......
@Weety - Welcome Weety!
@Highlord - can we get some more pics of the Carnosaur? It looks great.
@Grimdork - the largest number of models I can easily handle doing in a batch seems to be 12. Any more and it becomes a real struggle. Highlord's suggestion of making a Frostgrave-type force out of Samurai could work - then you can always add-on later to turn it into a KoW unit.
@plastictrees - that's a lotta bloody buildings!

I'll join this. I need motivation to knuckle down and get some models finished.
I'll do some of my Tyranids. I'll also be painting models from a bunch of ranges, to fill out my collection of monsters & villains for my D&D campaign. Reaper, Confrontation, WHFB, etc....
For the D&D minis, I'll paint them in groups of "encounters". Just have to hope my players don't read this thread and see spoilers.
