I apologize if this question has been asked or answered already, but how do you go about painting your vehicles? I have improved at painting my infantry but I still am not great at getting the look I want for my battlewagons, and I saw all your vehicles and they are exactly what I dream mine might look like one day.

Do you have a brief tutorial or tips on how to get that sort of red and weathering done?

when i paint i start off with a black undercoat, i then paint a gunmetal/black 50/50 mix, i dry brush this on, it gives a nice dark metal look, this is a heavy layer, but always dry brush, then ill go for a bright silver, again, dry brushing it on.

next i paint my bloody red, i try to do it as if the orks them self's are doing, i do it with a small brush and i only paint in small area's and work out, i always leave the edges alone, so it looks like worn. add detail, then wash with Dev mud.

im wont do a Tut on Painting, there are far better painter out there than me, and there are loads of Tut showing you how to paint, just go on Youtube, there's 100's

Oh man, not only do you build really fast, you paint fast too. You haven't painted your hands red have you?

Lovely stuff again, love the look of that trukk, can't wait for the trailer. Which will no doubt be fully painted before the cab of mine gets the next step added to it

Very effective paint scheme, wouldn't have guessed it was that simple

Ok this is just getting silly. NO human can be that fast and I'm also pretty sure wazzoo2000's posts counts as spam which is against TOS.

I'm going to alert mods as somebody's head might explode after seeing this spam of awesome.

btw that is a really nice trukk and I'm totally looting ideas here

Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.

If you can't defend or won't defend your opinion then that "opinion" is bs. Stop trying to tip-toe and defend what you believe in.

Thanks guys, all your kind words just make me want to make more, and i will.

there are loads of on-line plastic card company's out there if you are finding it hard to buy it local, just get off you ass and search for them hahaha. but like i keep saying, FIND your local / close's MODEL TRAIN shop, ring them and ask these if they sell if 95% of model train shops sell, coz most model train people build gak from sctatch. but i do feel for you if you cant find any, but if you do, post it here.

thanks again guys

I second the idea of a painting tutorial.

You shouldn't sell yourself short. There might be many painting tutorial out there, but we want YOURS.

Nothing elaborate is needed.
Just grab an armour plate, slap another plate on it and paint it while taking step-by-step pictures...just like you do your wonderful building tuts.

Okay, this is all pure awesome. First, this is why I would love to do an Ork army, it lends itself to scratch build for everything, and you've captured it wonderfully. The first pic of this thread I was blown away, all your work is inspiring. The Airship is out of this world, and the big rig is just as cool. And right, your painting sucks...? I actually really liked the dirt and wear you put on the vehicles.
