Looks pretty big. Now there's nothing wrong with using common household objects for scratchbuilding - hell, it's pretty much encouraged - but with this, the problem is that it's very obvious what everything is. The scale is such that lack of detail will really hurt it. It's an ambitious project to be sure, and all props to you for doing it, but my fear is that at this stage, even if painted, it's going to look like a stack of boxes and cardboard tubes.

Chop up heaps of cardboard (cereal box type), then attatch all over it. Will take ages but if you make some pretty big and then various sizes down to about 2cmx2cm it will really break up the shapes.

Speaking of taking ages, if you want it to really look good, you might put rivets on the thing

I'm in agreement with all of the above. Now, can this thing compete with an Imperetor, or are we all kinda (minus Chaos Imperetors) bugs unders it's 6 Vortex Missiles?

By try overlapping some of the cardboard squares, also get some good sealer. I would hate to see you get it slightly wet and have it warp on you.

Rivets:

If you have some old sprues, you will notice that here and there we have some little circular protrusions on the frame. Clip them off with a clipper (I used a toenail clipper). Clip lots! Glue 'em on! I will post a pic soon to show how good it looks once done.

It might make your Gargant more interesting if you add dag-like teef all along the top level. You know, making the top like a fortified border. You can use cardboard or plasticard. And don't forget the guns! The more the better. Big ones, infantry-sized ones, anything that an Ork can fire.

I like the door... That's a good idea. Still, the Imperial Building Sprue on the side? Regardless of the Orkiness, it sticks out a lot.

Detailed arms would help this thing a lot - otherwise it'll end up looking like a box with a head and lots of random pipes.

Well, for the Flakka Dakka gun that I showed off in my above post, the guns were made from old shampoo bottles (hotel-sized). I turned the caps around and glued them on. I think they look great! Others may have additional ideas. Just about any kind of tube can be turned into a gun. Drinking straws would be a way to go also.

Dude, awesome! Go for it

I think the random cut up pieces of cardboard help a LOT. Also putting a jagged row of them at the top would be sweet. And more catwalks!

Also agree about losing the imperial building ruins on the top, and giving it big arms to help the shape out. You might want to build these separately and attach them when finished.

For the engines... Maybe cut down that large tube, or leave it as-is but add a LOT of smaller tubes sticking out all around it. You gotta add detail to something this big so that will help the back the same way the front looks better with the random bits of cardboard shapes.

The doors you added look really nice... keep goin'!

Well, I have started to plan out my own mega gargant and I have decided to use erector sets and similar items from the hardware store. This will give it strength and I will not have to add rivets since the rivets will already be there.
