i found my minis in my garage, a bunch of deathwing from high school. i read up, and turns out guard is OP, and ive always liked them anyway, so im starting a guard army. i get all kindsa cool tanks and artillery, and i figure i can try out a different color scheme for each squad. this is the first tank ive painted. gonna try some of these new techniques that are all over the internets. i still have yet to play since high school. for now, im just gonna model in my spare time. figure i would start off on a chimera. im not done yet obviously. the turret and hull weapon are magnetized, but i dont know what color im going to paint them, im thinkin rusty, not matching camo that way i can swap from tank to tank.

Great job. Of course, you still have the fine detail work to do, but that is a nice restoration of an otherwise damaged model.

im looking at it, and i realized while handling the tank i wiped off some of the oil streaks i painted on. oils are great but this no drying thing is killer. right now im waiting for some matt varnish in the mail before i go any further so i can seal this up.

its a great paintjob but erm.... what you going to about armaments?

The Imperium of Man is able to traverse the Warp with difficulty when their Emperor concentrates from his golden life support machine and lights the way. Unfortunately, because the Emperor has the attention span of the average 5-year-old Pokemon fanboy, this means that many an unfortunate Imperial ship has had the WTF WHERE'D THE LIGHTS GO experience, which in the Warp is invariably fatal.

are turret flamers any good? im thinkin multilaser seems better, esp with ap6 and not ap-. i got a set of hull weaps and a multilaser turret magnetized, and i wanna try some hairspray weathering. i want to paint the weapons dark and ultra rusty, so that i can swap between different camo patterns in my army without it looking like a hodgepodge. i figure some rusty weaps will tie the different schemes together.

I think the turret multi-laser is the best bet. The turret flamer makes it hard to actually hit anything due to the amount of template over your own model. The hull HF is well placed for maximum damage.

I am not sure if this is correct or not, but I don't think Grass & Dessert camo go together.
